2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed will start on June 26

The dates for the Goodwood Festival of Speed were announced by event founder Lord March. The Goodwood Festival of Speed is scheduled to be on June 26 to 29, 2014. The Goodwood Revival will also be making a comeback next year. The Festival will provisionally run from June 27 until June 29. Potential car buyers could test drive the latest models on June 26 at the Moving Motor Show. According to Goodwood organizers, the final dates will be confirmed as soon as the 2014 Formula One calendar is released this December.

Fans will surely be excited about the return of the famous Goodwood hillclimb, which will be participated by a star-studded line-up of drivers. Car culture is celebrated in the Festival of Speed, with the latest manufacturer models displayed beside icons and motorsport classics.

The twentieth anniversary of the event was celebrated in 2013. Among the most significant happenings during the event were the global debut of the McLaren P1, as well as those for the Porsche 918 Spyder and the Jaguar C-X75. The other significant displays include the Alfa Romeo 4C, the Volkswagen XL1 and the Project 7 (Jaguar's special design study). [source: Autocar]
