Lexus has just unveiled a special edition of its LX570 created for the Kuwait market. Dubbed Lexus LX570 Supercharger, the new edition is powered by the same 5.8-liter V8 version found on the standard model, but boosted from 383 hp (286 kW) to an impressive 450 hp. The engine uses the same 6-speed automatic transmission, which delivers the power through the AWD system. Still, it is not as powerful as the ASI Invader, which offers 600 hp.
In order to highlight the power delivered by the V8 engine, the Lexus LX570 Supercharger comes with new lip spoilers for the front and rear bumpers, a new rear roof spoiler, while the chrome accents are now painted in black. Moreover, the headlights show a black background, which improve the SUV’s look.
Furthermore, 20-inch black wheels complete the exterior design. The interior is also specially created for this models and includes new door sills featuring the “Supercharger” lettering and the highlighted Lexus logo, seats wrapped in premium red leather, sun roof, navigation system and a Mark Levinson audio system with 19 speakers, as well as screens for the rear passengers.
Lexus proudly revealed that the new 2013 LX 570 not only has a new look on the front but even on the rear. The headlamp has a new design with the fog lamp bezels made larger. Complementing this is the addition of the daytime running lights that use LED. On the rear section, Lexus made sure to update the taillamps. Even the rear license plate surround underwent a redesign with the tow hitch cover is made even more integrated.
Bumpers on the front and the rear have both been refreshed with the bumper protector in the rear improved with the addition of a stainless steel accent. While the side mirrors have the turn signals added to them, the bodyside moldings are now wider and display a new look. With space enough to accommodate a total of eight passengers, Lexus implemented different changes and upgrades on the cabin of the LX 570.
The driver’s seat for example has the Easy Access system which makes ingress and egress that much easier. Once the ignition is turned off, the driver’s seat and the steering wheel immediately retract. The seats in the front have been fitted with enhanced cooling and the middle row is fitted with the 120-volt power outlet. Updated as well is the instrument panel and a new color display is added.
The center instrument cluster shows a dark chrome finish and with the front side air vents and the new chrome accent on top of the glove box, helps give the instrument panel a fresher look. It can be observed as well that the cabin of this model has a mahogany wood trim. Rather than have the interior leather trim in Cashmere, it is now in Parchment. Two new colors will also be offered for the exterior which are Satin Cashmere Metallic and Medium Nebula Gray Pearl.
These two will serve as replacement for Golden Almond Metallic and Twilight Gray Metallic. Lexus disclosed that the chassis is highly capable and fitted with the cutting-edge suspension system. The front has the double-wishbone independent high-mount suspension which enables the front wheel to travel for a total of nine inches. This results in excellent travel on rough roads and even through obstacles.
