Earlier this week, the first Subaru BRZ tS photos emerged on the web but the Japanese manufacturer released today the full details and specs of its new model. The new 2014 Subaru BRZ tS already went on sale in Japan and the new car promises to offer the driver agile handling pleasure. As a result, Subaru Tecnica International (STI) tuned the BRZ and added a large-diameter driveshaft, unique flexible parts, new Brembo ventilated disc brakes, 18-inch aluminum wheels and an STI-designed front under spoiler.
Moreover, the model comes with special features such as the "STI" / "tS" ornaments, fender garnish on the exterior as well as a speedometer with the STI logo.
According to the official press release, the Subaru BRZ tS comes with new 18-inch aluminum wheels (silver), Brembo front 17-inch opposed 4-pot ventilated disc brake with "STI" logo, Brembo front 17-inch opposed 4-pot ventilated disc brake with "STI" logo, a rear suspension link with pillow ball bush (trailing link front, lateral link front inside & rear inside), STI-tuned strut and STI coil springs for front suspension, STI tuned damper and STI coil springs for rear suspension.
Moreover, we find the STI designed flexible tower bar, front, STI designed flexible draw stiffener, front, STI designed large-diameter driveshaft, exclusively-tuned VDC (Vehicle Dynamics Control) and filter for Sound Creator. Inside, the BRZ tS features front seats with STI logo and red stitch, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, STI-designed leather shift knob (manual transmission) and select lever (automatic transmission) with STI logo.
Furthermore, we find a new speedometer visor, carbon tone instrument panel, STI designed push engine switch and aluminum side sill plate with tS logo. Unfortunately, the 2.0-liter horizontally-opposed boxer direct injection engine didn's receive any improvements, which means it till deliver the same 200 hp and 205 Nm of torque.
If this isn’t enough, the 2014 Subaru BRZ tS customers can buy the GT Package. The package consists of 18-inch aluminum wheels (black), a dry carbon rear spoiler and Recaro front bucket seats.
