Earlier today we talked about the facelifted 2015 Audi A6 Sedan and Avant models, but now we will take a closer look at the 2015 A6 Allroad Quattro Facelift. Based on the A6 Avant, the new A6 Allroad Quatttro is able to take its passengers almost anywhere thanks to its raised body and steel lining that underside of the front and rear ends.
When it comes to design, the new model features vertical slats in the Singleframe grille, new headlights that can be configured as an option with LED or matrix LED technology, as well as a new set of taillights that get a new LED design. According to Audi, the A6 Allroad Quattro Facelift is offered with a choice of four 3.0-liter V6 engines, a 3.0-liter TFSI and three versions of the 3.0-liter TDI engine.
The 3.-liter TFSI petrol engine delivers 333 hp (245 kW) and Audi says that it comprehensively revised this powerplant. In addition, the 3.0-liter TDI clean diesel is available with either 218 hp (160 kW), 272 hp (200 kW).
A biturbo version of the 3.0-liter TDI engine is available too and delivers 320 hp (235 kW). Just like the other A6 models, the 2015 A6 Allroad Quattro can be equipped with the MMI navigation plus with MMI touch and the power-retractable 8-inch monitor that is now based on a new technology platform using the fast Tegra 30 graphics chip from Nvidia.
Moreover, Audi offers the supplemental module Audi connect that is able to transfer data via the LTE standard in order to bring online services onto the car, including new media streaming apps.
Also as an option, Audi offers the adaptive cruise control with stop & go function, Audi side Assist, Audi active lane assist and the night vision assistant which now includes more functions.
Audi’s pre sense basic safety system is offered as standard. Just like the A6 Avant, the A6 Allroad Quattro offers between 565 and 1,680 liters (20.0 and 59.3 cu ft) of space. In Germany, the 2015 Audi A6 Allroad Quattro 3.0 TDI starts at 56,650 euros and the first vehicles will arrive at the dealerships in the fall of 2014.
The sinewy exterior of the new A6 is also reflected inside the cabin, with every detail providing evidence of the uncompromising level of quality. The interior makes use of elegant colors and thoroughly picked materials. In particular, the new Audi design selection wraps the interior of A6 models in flint gray and the cabin of the S6 with salsa red.
As standard, the new Audi A6 features the MMI radio operating system and deluxe automatic air conditioning, while customers could have the front seats specified with optional ventilation and massage functions. Depending on the configuration, the cargo room of the Audi A6 Avant could accommodate between 565 liters and 1,680 liters (20.0 cu. ft. and 59.3 cu. ft.), as complemented by several practical features. In terms of infotainment, the new A6 models offer a number of configurations, including the top-of-the-line MMI navigation plus MMI touch. Meanwhile, Audi connect could transfer data through the LTE standard, injecting several tailored online services into the new A6.
The new Audi A6 also comes with an array of driver assistance systems that include adaptive cruise control with stop & go function. It also features Audi active lane assist that prevents unintended lane changes, as well as Audi side assist that employs radar to sense other vehicles on the rear when changing lanes. Furthermore, the night vision assistant in the new Audi A6 now has more functions. The Audi pre sense basic safety system is equipped as standard while a head-up display is optional.
