2015 Audi S3 Sedan Limited Edition announced for the United States

Audi has quietly announced the S3 Limited Edition in the United States and if you hurry up, you might get your hands of one of the 350 examples that will be built. Each unit will get visual upgrades such as a Daytona Gray pearl-effect paint, a two-tone (Black/Magma Red) interior, LED headlights and red brake calipers.

Morever, the S3 Sedan Limited Edition gets the 19-inch Performance package that normally costs $1,500 and includes 19-inch wheels wrapped in summer high performance tires and the magnetic ride suspension.

Under the hood, there is the standard 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four petrol engine that develops 292 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque, bolted to a dual-clutch six-speed automatic transmission that delivers the power to the road via the permanent Quattro all-wheel drive system.

The engine is able to push the vehicle from naught to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 4.7 seconds, while top speed is limited at 155 mph or 250 km/h.

Pricing was not announced yet, but we do know that the standard 2015 Audi S3 is priced at $41,995, which means that the S3 Limited Edition will be a little more expensive.

The excellent dynamics of the Audi S3 Sedan are also thanks to its lightweight construction, as the four-door comes with a curb weight (sans the driver) of just 1,430 kilograms or 3,152.61 lbs. (manual transmission mode). This is made possible by extensively employing ultra high-strength steels in several sections of occupant cell and by an engine hood made from aluminum.

This excellent dynamics is properly conveyed by the athletic design and decisive appearance of the Audi S3 Sedan, as defined by its visually stretched body, flat roof arch, flat engine hood, precise lines, and curved surfaces. In terms of the dimensions, the new S3 Sedan measures 4,469 millimeters (14.66 feet) in length, 1,796 mm (5.80 ft) in width and 1,392 mm (4.57 ft) in height, with wheelbase of 2,631 mm (8.63 ft).

Its high-performance nature is defined by certain design elements like the S-specific Singleframe grille that comes with aluminum-look, double horizontal bars. The grille of the Audi S3 Sedan is surrounded by a chrome frame and is accentuated by a matt platinum gray insert. Framed by strongly flared edges, the front bumper has its air inlets feature aluminum-look double ribs and honeycomb inserts. If they see fit, customers could avail of optional LED headlights.

Meanwhile, the sides of the new AudivS3 Sedan are marked by exterior mirror housings and the sill strips, both featuring an aluminum-look. Audi redesigned the rear bumper and integrated a subtle spoiler lip on the top of the trunk lid, with rear lights making use of LED units.

Boasting of an aluminum-look double bar and four ribs, the platinum gray diffuser feature encloses the four oval tailpipes of the exhaust system with chrome tips. S3 badges are found both on the rear and front sections of the four-door model. The new S3 Sedan could be wrapped in any of the 12 exterior finishes, including exclusive crystal-effect colors Sepang blue Panther black.
