2015 Bmw X6 will be more aggressive, debut at the 2014 Moscow Motor Show

A successor to the BMW X6 will be launched shortly after the new X4 makes its arrival in 2014. BMW didn’t give the exact date for the introduction of this new SUV in the UK. However, it’s believed that the new X6 will have its global debut at the Moscow Motor Show next year. It’s also expected to go on sale in the third quarter of 2014, according to Autocar.

The new X6 is based on the same platform as the next X5 and it will have the same form as the current model except that it will have more aggressive details.

A source said that the company wants its sporting models to be more individual and to make them aesthetically more distinguishable from the more practical models in its lineup.

Furthermore, the new X6 will be a bit longer so that it offers bigger rear legroom. It will be offered with any of the following engines: the in-line six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, as well as V8 petrol units, with a plug-in petrol-electric hybrid slated to be available in 2015.

The outgoing design of the freshly-minted BMW X6 fuses the vigor and flexibility of a BMW X model with the well-balanced sophistication standard of the brand's Coupes. The interior incorporates lavish space with model-specific sports characteristics and a premium feel, while appealing design and equipment packages significantly accentuate the elite style of the new BMW X6.

The Design Pure Extravagance equipment package includes stunning, top-notch accents to both the interior and the exterior. Meanwhile, the M Sport package incorporates exceptionally chosen features that improve the car’s dynamic personality to quickly generate an alluring impression. Also accessible from the premiere are model-specific components from BMW Individual.

Brand-new BMW X6 also includes an appropriate elegant list of standard hardware which is way better than that of the past model: bixenon headlights, 19-inch light-allow wheels, automatic tailgate operation, the 8-speed Steptronic sport transmission with steering wheel shift paddles, two-zone climate control, leather trim, auto-dimming rear-view mirror and the Driving Assistant safety package from BMW ConnectedDrive.

Giving performance an additional boost are the 40 : 20 : 40 split/folding rear seat backrests, which permit load compartment capability to extend from 580 liters to as much as 1,525 liters (75 liters more than the previous model).
