2015 Cadillac Escalade Platinum gets a price tag of $90,270

The 2015 Cadillac Escalade has just received the new Platinum Collection model that will arrive in the fourth quarter this year. Priced from $90,270 including the $995 destination charge, the 2015 Escalade Platinum arrives with new upgrades including first- and second-row seats wrapped in Nappa semi-aniline leather but also a dashboard, upper door panels and center console hand-stitched and hand-wrapped in leather.

Two interior environments are available, each featuring sueded microfiber headliner trim and unique exotic wood accents. Moreover, the interior gets standard 18-way power front seats which are heated and cooled, two 7-inch LCD screens embedded in the front headrests, a 9-inch overhead screen and a cooled center console compartment.

Sill plates featuring the ‘Platinum’ lettering and premium floor mats are available too. The 2015 Escalade Platinum models will be easily distinguished thanks to the 22-inchw wheels as well as by the chrome accents, Platinum exterior badges and the unique grille mesh design that features the new Cadillac Crest.

Just like the 2015 Cadillac ATS the Escalade gets the OnStar with 4G LTE connectivity with a WiFi hotspot that can connect up to seven devices. Under the hood, there is a 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 420 hp and 623 Nm (460 lb-ft) of torque, bolted to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The fourth Cadillac Escalade generation is a completely new design but is still immediately recognisable. Much of the Cadillac’s story for its redesigned centrepiece SUV is about the inside, where new luxury levels blend with the most advanced technology.

Cadillac's development delivers the ideal phase for the new Escalade to take a significant forward leap. The 2015 Escalade is entirely new and has improved styling and tech, in and out. The distinct aim is to take a leading place once more among the models in the luxury SUV class.

From its debut, the Cadillac Escalade swiftly became the benchmark for luxury SUVs with a recipe for strong design, powerful ability, and lavish appointments for up to eight occupants. Three generations in a row led customers of luxury SUV to award the icon status on it. The 2015 Escalade brings elements of design and technology from Cadillac's product increase to lift the company's signature SUV.

Production of the 2015 Escalade began in Arlington, Texas, in the spring of 2014. The product range will comprise of the standard Escalade, as well as the elongated ESV edition, which offers a 14” longer (355 mm) wheelbase and about 20” (508 mm) greater in total length, optimising space for third-row passengers and 60% more cargo room in the back of the third-row seats than the Escalade.

Available in 2WD and 4WD, the Escalade has an all-new 6.2L V-8 engine, which is more forceful and efficient than prior models. Cadillac's Magnetic Ride Control, the fastest-reacting suspension, now comes standard and provides accurately controlled drive performance.

New Platinum Collection, Added Features Elevate Escalade Craftsmanship and Technology

Cadillac today announced numerous enhancements to the just-launched 2015 Escalade, including the new range-topping Platinum Collection model launching in the fourth quarter this year.

Escalade Platinum features elegant, hand-crafted luxury additions to both the exterior and interior while the entire Escalade range gets new technical features, highlighted by the addition of 4G LTE connectivity, a new 8-speed automatic transmission and a Surround View camera system to help increase visibility.

“Since the launch just a few months ago, the next-generation Escalade has proved exceptionally desirable among luxury SUV buyers,” said Uwe Ellinghaus, chief marketing officer, Cadillac. “Now, within the same year we are able to elevate the Escalade line with the Platinum Collection, as well as deliver enhancements through the entire Escalade range.”

The 2015 Escalade Platinum extends and upgrades the use of premium materials within the Escalade’s cut and sewn interior. First- and second-row seats are wrapped in Nappa semi-aniline leather, while the dashboard, upper door panels and center console are clad in hand-stitched and hand-wrapped leather. Customers can choose between two distinct interior environments, each paired with sueded microfiber headliner trim and unique exotic wood accents.

Escalade Platinum Collection is also designed to provide passengers with unsurpassed comfort and convenience. Heated and cooled 18-way power front seats are standard, and include a massaging function on the driver’s seat. A pair of seven-inch LCD screens, embedded in the front head rests, supplement the overhead 9-inch screen, while a cooled center console compartment can keep chilled beverages handy. Platinum models also include premium floor mats and Platinum-branded door sill plates.

Escalade Platinum models ride on 22-inch wheels and the model is distinguished by chrome accents, Platinum exterior badging, and a unique grille mesh design. All Escalade models wear the new, streamlined Cadillac Crest.

In addition, all Escalade models – from the standard Collection through to the Platinum – feature a host of technology upgrades. Vehicle performance is aided by the new eight-speed automatic transmission that is standard on all models, as well as a two-speed transfer case standard on four-wheel drive models. An electronic hands-free liftgate already standard on Escalade will also feature hands-free closing capability.

Like the new ATS sport sedan, Escalade includes OnStar with 4G LTE connectivity with a WiFi hotspot capable of connecting up to seven devices and inductive wireless device charging. Surround View, which provides a bird’s eye view of the area immediately surrounding the vehicle.

The enhancements add just $1275 to Escalade’s starting price in the U.S., for a total of $73,965, including destination.

The top-of-the-range 2015 Escalade Platinum is priced from $90,270, including $995 in destination.
