PSA/Peugeot-Citroen launched the Citroen C3-XR in China and the manufacturer announced that its crossover is priced from 110,000 yuan or $18,000. The C3-XR is company’s fourth SUV built in China and the bad news is that it will only be sold in world’s biggest auto market.
According to PSA, the C4 Cactus is a better offer for European market and the C3-XR was designed exclusively for China. The vehicle will be available with a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine that generates 160 hp, bolted to a 6-speed automatic transmission which sends the power to the front wheels.
The crossover has a length of 4260 mm, a width of 1790 mm, while the height is 1560 mm. Citroen’s C3-XR will be built at the Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile, a 50-50 joint venture between Dongfeng and PSA. The same factory builds the Peugeot 2008 and 3008.
