The new Fiat 500 1957 Edition Cabrio has been launched in time to celebrate spring and summer. With the introduction of the cabrio version of the popular Fiat 500 1957 Edition (which first came in 2014), the Fiat brand is honouring the history of the Nuova 500.
The Fiat 500c 1957 Edition is available with a premium dual-layer power-operated cloth top, which takes inspiration from the canvas roof on the original Cinquecento. Whether the top is up or down, the driver gets to experience driving pleasure no matter what season it is.
Jason Stoicevich, Head of FIAT Brand for North America, said that the company is continuing to expand this lineup. He also said that with this cabrio version, the brand is adding open-air fun to the legendary Fiat 500 1957 Edition. The well-equipped limited-production model has a starting price of $24,700 U.S. MSRP, making it only $1,900 more expensive than a base Fiat 500c Lounge.
Orders can now be taken for the Fiat 500c 1957 Edition. It will arrive this spring at studios. It takes only one push of a button to retract the Fiat 500c 1957 Edition’s power-operated cloth top up to the rear spoiler during speeds up to a best-in-class 60 mph. By pressing the button anytime in between, the roof can stop midway.
By pressing the roof button again, the roof can neatly fold and be tucked at the back of the rear restraints (up to 50mph). The power cloth top is even more advanced. Upon opening the liftgate for truck access, the power-operated cloth top instantly retracts back to the rear-spoiler position so that there won’t be any obstruction.
The 2015 Fiat 500 1957 Edition is now offered as either a hatchback or a cabrio. Handling is improved via a sport-tuned suspension.
It also comes with a set of 16-inch forged aluminum wheels with a retro body-color design, a premium Marrone (brown) and Avorio (ivory) leather interior, and throwback “FIAT” badging. The model comes in three classic colors for its exterior. Buyers can choose from Bianco (white), Verde Chiaro (light green) and exclusive Celeste (celestial blue).
