Ford unveiled today the last Falcon Ute and announced that it will produce it in Australia until October 2016, when the company will close the Land Down Under facility. The all-new 2015 Falcon Ute gets the same design philosophy as the standard model and is offered with 16-inch steel wheels but also body-coloured front bumper and door handles.

The model you see in the photos is the XR6 and arrives with 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, rain-sensing wipers and LED daytime running lights. In addition, the 2015 Falcon XR6 gets the SYNC2 infotainment system, a digital radio DAB+, climate control, Bluetooth phone and audio, 8-inch colour screen, WiFi hotspot and the voice control system called ‘Karen’.

Under the hood, the vehicle carries an inline-six 4.0-liter petrol engine that generates 261 hp (195 kW) and 391 Nm (288 lb-ft) of torque. Moreover, Ford offers 4.0-liter straight-six EcoLPi engine generating 265 hp (198 kW) and 409 Nm (302 lb-ft) of torque.

The Styleside box XR6 version is powered by a 4.0-liter inline-six that develops 362 hp (270 kW) and 533 Nm (393 lb-ft) of torque. The engines are offered with a six-speed automatic transmission, a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission with manual mode. Pricing is yet to be revealed! [source: WorldCarFans.com]
