Besides the 2015 Hyundai i20 Coupe, the Korean manufacturer also introduced today the new i30 Facelift. The model received a new design and shows an accentuated hexagonal grille, a new front bumper, new headlights as well as LED daytime running lights and redesigned fog lamps.
Moreover, the i30 Facelift gets a redesigned rear bumper, newly designed 16- and 17-inch wheels as well as three new exterior colours: Polar White, Orange Caramel and Jet Black. Also new for the 2015MY is the i30 Turbo, a high-performance version of the well-know hatch powered by a Nurburgring-tuned petrol engine that generates 186 hp.
This engine is able to push the i30 Turbo from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.0 seconds, while tops speed is 136 mph or 220 km/h. Hyundai will offer the i30 Turbo with five-doors and three-doors as well as with unique paint finishes such as Jet Black.
When it comes to design, the i30 Turbo gets a new radiator grille, front and rear bumpers with red detailing, new front LED design, twin exhausts and 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, contrasting red details are found on the steering wheel, gear knob and door trim, while new design features include sports front seats and sports instrument cluster.
For those who don’t want a fast i30, Hyundai offers the 1.6-liter diesel engine available in two power output versions of 110 hp and 136 hp. If you are a petrol engine fan, you can choose the 1.4-liter engine with 100 hp or the 1.6-liter with 120 hp.
The 1.6-litre diesel and the 1.6-litre petrol GDI engines are also now available with the new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (7DCT).
