The 2015 Infiniti Q70 has just made its debut with a fresh new look but also with a new long wheelbase version. As you can see from the photos, the front end looks inspired by the Q50 thanks to the double-arch grille. The new front end features a redesigned front bumper, new headlights and LED accents, while the rear end comes with full LED taillights.
The chrome rear finisher completes the look of the entire rear view. Meanwhile, the Sport version of the Q70 offers a specially designed front bumper, 20-inch wheels and tires, while the lower part of the rear bumper comes painted in high-gloss black. Inside, we spot high-quality materials such as handcrafted wood accents and custom leather appointments, meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail, as well as user-centered technologies.
The instrument panel shows the Fine Vision gauges and a 7-inch full color vehicle information display. While the Q70 is known to have a roomy interior, the additional 5.9 inches in the long wheelbase version takes the extended sedan's rear roominess beyond what competitors offer.
You will hear little noise from the outside thanks to the Active Noise Control feature that monitors the cabin noise levels and generates “canceling” sounds. Infiniti offers a premium Bose Studio Surround sound system with digital 5.1-channel decoding and 16 speakers.
What’s more interesting is that two of those speakers are mounted in the shoulders of each front seat. Other highlights of the interior include Enhanced Intelligent Key, Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System, dual-zone automatic temperature control, and available next-generation Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System with 8-inch WVGA color touch-screen display.
Under thr hood, we find the 3.7-liter aluminum-alloy DOHC 24-valve V6 that delivers 330 hp and 366 Nm (270 lb-ft) of torque. Moreover, Infiniti offers a 5.6-liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) aluminum-alloy DOHC 32-valve V8 that pumps out 420 hp and 565 Nm (417 lb-ft) of torque. In the long wheelbases version, the V8 engine delivers 416 hp and 561 Nm (414 lb-ft).
Also available is an award-winning hybrid powertrain featuring the Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid system with Intelligent Dual Clutch Control. The Q70 Hybrid is powered by a 3.5-liter 24-valve DOHC aluminum-alloy V6 rated at 302 hp and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque, while the 50 kW electric motor delivers 67 hp and 290 Nm (214 lb-ft) of torque. The total output delivered by the Q70 Hybrid is 360 hp.
