2015 Jeep Renegade is priced from £16,995 on-the-road in the UK

Fiat Group Automobiles UK has disclosed the price range for the new Jeep Renegade that will be rolled out in the United Kingdom early 2015. Interested buyers could have their own Jeep Renegade for as low as £16,995 on-the-road (front-wheel drive 1.6-liter eTorq Evo 110hp Sport) and as high as £27,995 OTR (2.0-liter MJet 170hp 4WD Auto Low Trailhawk).

Fiat will offer a special ‘Opening Edition’ version of the Jeep Renegade at launch in Alpine White or Omaha Orange. Both have a black painted roof and a distinct interior as with 18-inch wheels. Only 200 units of Opening Edition will be made available.

The Renegade is the first Jeep model to be produced in Italy and the first vehicle from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to be jointly developed by Italian and US designers and engineers. To be sold in over 100 countries including the UK and the United States.

In the UK, the new Jeep Renegade can be availed in four different trim levels – Sport, Longitude, Limited and Trailhawk. Each of these trim levels is fitted with any of efficient turbo-diesel and petrol engines and is available in either four-wheel drive or front-wheel drive configurations.

The engines are paired with first-in-segment nine-speed automatic transmissions. Aside from having a Euro NCAP five-star safety rating, the new Renegade boasts of best-in-class interior space, outstanding on-road driving dynamics and dynamic off-road capabilities. Its advanced 4x4 systems feature category-exclusive rear axle disconnect that shift seamlessly between two- and four-wheel-drive, allowing drivers to save fuel when 4x4 capability isn’t required.

New Jeep Renegade features a style that includes round headlamps, signature seven-slot grille and trapezoidal wheel arches. Customers could opt for two open-air roof systems: a large electric sliding glass roof or the 'My Sky' removable panels. Interested buyers can start ordering their Jeep Renegades on Jan. 6, 2015.

While Wrangler did serve as the inspiration for the Jeep Renegade, it was not limited to the rugged body forms and the powerful stance. This new model also builds on the Wrangler’s aggressive proportions. In particular, its departure and approach angles are the best in its class, both of which have been design especially to deliver top notch capability.

Beginning with the front section, there is no doubt that the Renegade is indeed part of the Jeep range given that one can see the signature seven-slot grille. On the top portion, the large circular headlamps give it that standard Jeep appearance. Under the grille meanwhile is a two-piece front fascia that, in addition to being aerodynamically tuned, showcases a molded-in-color on the lower part and body-color on the upper region.

The rugged bodyside form has those trapezoidal wheel arches, short overhangs, and more importantly that sculptural blend of fluid shapes which are interrupted by strong chamfers. Since the Renegade takes the DNA of the Wrangler, it displays wide fender forms and beefy tires. It even has a raised belt line which brings to mind the icon’s half-doors. Giving the Renegade a more modern look is the daylight opening, which is optional and serves as an affirmation on the classic hardtop of the Wrangler.

On its sill, this new SUV has cladding which brings with it protection. Further, since the more painted body is visually painted on top of the wheel centers, it makes the vehicle look lighter. Serving as a connection of the side profile to the model’s rear section is the all-too familiar shield-shape of the brand. It also ties the backlight in the rear and the square Wrangler-like tail lamps having black accent surround.

As added detail, the tail lamps feature reveals a new “X: form design theme. This theme has been inspired by military equipment, particularly a gas can. This allows the new model to convey strength and it plays on the roots of the brand. Similar to the first Willys MB Jeep models, the same ones manufactured in 1941, this new version of the Renegade delivers open-air freedom with the choice of two open-air roof systems. The first is “My Sky,” a feature unique to this segment, with the second being the electric-power and large dual pane sliding glass roof.

Press Release

Pricing for the all-new Jeep Renegade small SUV has just been announced by Fiat Group Automobiles UK. Order books for this exciting new addition to the Jeep range will open on 6 January 2015, ahead of its arrival mid-February.

With a starting price of just £16,995 OTR for the front-wheel drive 1.6-litre eTorq Evo 110hp Sport, the new car, which goes on sale in the UK early next year, represents outstanding value for money.

At the top end of the exciting, all-new Renegade range, the highly specified 2.0-litre MJet 170hp 4WD Auto Low Trailhawk version costs £27,995 OTR, and features 17-inch aluminium wheels, dual zone climate control, transfer case, front suspension and fuel tank skid plates, heated front seats and steering wheel, leather upholstery and rear parking sensors.

A special ‘Opening Edition’ version, limited to just 200 units will also be available at launch in Alpine White or Omaha Orange, both incorporating a black painted roof and with a unique interior and 18-inch wheels.

The all-new Jeep Renegade is the first model in the brand's history to be built in Italy and the first vehicle from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to be jointly developed by Italian and American designers and engineers. It will be sold in more than 100 countries including the United States.

In the UK, the new Jeep will be available in a full-range comprising four different trim levels – Sport, Longitude, Limited and Trailhawk – equipped with efficient turbo-diesel and petrol engines and available in four-wheel drive or front-wheel drive configurations.

Packed with a strong style and personality, and the right size for both city and countryside, new Renegade has best-in-class interior roominess, excellent on-road driving dynamics and supreme off-road capabilities. It has also just been awarded a Euro NCAP five-star safety rating.

The car’s advanced 4x4 systems incorporate a category-exclusive rear axle disconnect that switches seamlessly between two- and four-wheel-drive for reduced energy loss when 4x4 capability isn’t needed, improving fuel efficiency in the process. And the first-in-segment nine-speed automatic transmission ensures benchmark performance both on- and off-road.

From any angle Renegade reveals the distinctive design cues of the brand's stylistic heritage, such as round headlamps, signature seven-slot grille and trapezoidal wheel arches. Two open-air roof systems will be available to provide customers with open-air freedom: a large electric sliding glass roof or the unique-to-segment 'My Sky' – its two panels can be removed and stowed in the boot.

The interior features a modern, refined look, in line with the brand's DNA. The cabin is characterised by attention to detail, innovative colour combinations, high-quality materials, advanced technological contents and clever and functional storage areas.

Standard equipment in the well-equipped entry-level Sport includes air conditioning, DAB radio with touchscreen and Bluetooth, electric parking brake, 16-inch alloy wheels, tyre pressure monitoring, and remote central locking. Longitude adds features including 17-inch aluminium wheels, six-speaker audio system, roof rails, body coloured door mirrors and handles, cruise control, and front fog lamps.

Limited version further adds 18-inch aluminium wheels, chromed exhaust tip, Forward Collision Mitigation, heated front seats and steering wheel, leather upholstery, privacy glass and rear parking sensors.

“We have all been eagerly awaiting Renegade – here at Jeep, our customers, dealers and the media – and its arrival is now just a few weeks away,” says Damien Dally, head of brand, Jeep UK.

“It’s exactly what the Jeep brand needs now and certainly, we have seen a huge interest in this exciting new car. Jeep is the original ‘Go Anywhere, Do Anything’ brand, and we are confident that we can offer great cars at exceptional value to keep Renegade at the front of all prospective buyers’ minds.”
