In order to celebrate the collaboration with Pirelli, Lamborghini has just unveiled a special series Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition. For those who don’t know, the partnership between the two Italian brands began back in 1963, the year the House of the Raging Bull was established as well as the year since all Lamborghini cars have been equipped with Pirelli tires.
Available in both Coupe and Roadster versions, the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition is already available to order and the first units will be delivered to their customers in the summer of 2015. Each unit will be easily distinguished thanks to the two-tone color scheme in two options.
According to Lamborghini, the first color scheme features the roof, pillars, rearview mirrors, engine hood finished in matte black, while the front, rear, side and moving air intakes are offered in contrast with six glossy finishes such as Giallo Spica, Rosso Mars, Bianco Isis, Nero Aldebaran, Grigio Liqueo, and Grigio Ater.
The second color scheme features glossy black for the upper parts of the car as well as the air intakes, in contrast with four matte finishes for the rest of the exterior Bianco Canopus, Nero Nemesis, Grigio Adamas, and Grigio Titans.
Engine remains unchanged and this means that under the hood we find the same 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces 700 hp (515 kW) and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque at 5,500 rpm.
The Aventador has a total weight of 1,575 kg (3,472 lbs) and it able to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.9 seconds, while top speed is 350 km/h or 217 mph.
Meanwhile, the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3 seconds, while top speed is 350 km/h or 217 mph.
Lamborghini has always regarded design as the beauty of superb power as well as the gracefulness of astounding dynamics. In terms of looks, the new Aventador is undeniably a true Lamborghini, as it is clothed in the brand’s distinctive design language defined by exact lines, precise surfaces, powerful proportions and taut muscularity.
This characteristic design language was especially developed by designers in the Centro Stile Lamborghini to allow the Aventador to gain a dramatic advantage. As a result, the Aventador itself could be considered as a mobile work of art, featuring sharp front end, extremely low roofline and a distinctive rear diffuser. Designers ensured that each line has a clear function and every form is influenced by the desire to be fast, while working hard to give the Aventador a spectacular and stunning appearance.
The sportiness of the new Lamborghini Aventador is evident on its impressive proportions defined by dimensions that measure 4.78 meters (188.19 in.) in length, 2.26 meters (88.98 in.) in width, 1.136 mm (44.72 in.) and height. Its sportiness is accentuated by its carbon-fiber monocoque with doors than open upward like wings of a bird.
These unique doors were first seen on the legendary Countach and by subsequent V12 like Diablo and Murcielago. The Aventador also adopted the electronically managed air intakes of the Murcielago. These air intakes open according to the outdoor temperature as well as to the need for cooling air. The new Aventador could be equipped with the optional transparent engine bonnet that impressively displays its 12-cylinder engine to the naked eye,
Inside, the new Lamborghini Aventador offers a spacious cabin achieved through perfect Italian craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technology, as laden with exclusive premium materials and generous equipment.
The 12-cylinder engine is activated through the start button on the broad center tunnel, as encloses in a red switch cover. The cabin of the Aventador also features a next-generation dashboard which displays the instruments through a TFT-LCD screen employing groundbreaking display concepts. Another screen displays the standard-fit multimedia and navigation system.
