In terms of safety, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz E-Class comes as standard with Collision Prevention Assist Plus in order to reduce the impact of rear-end collisions.

The system offers visual and acoustic warnings when a head-on collision is imminent and if the driver fails to apply the brake, the autonomous brake is activated at speeds of up to 62 mph or 100 km/h.

Exterior Design

The facelifted Mercedes-Benz E-Class now offers a sharper overall appearance, boasting of intelligent design tweaks especially on the front end. These tweaks have implemented the new Mercedes design idiom consistently while reinterpreting the brand’s classical design values. Ultimately, these tweaks allowed the new E-Class to have a more refined look that remains sporty and emotionally appealing.

One of the design tweaks made involved the headlamps, as all functional elements are now provided through a single headlamp lens. Thanks to flowing light elements inside the headlamps, the E-Class managed to retain its "four-eyed" appearance, thereby giving both the Saloon and the Estate versions an unmistakable night graphic. As standard, the low-beam headlamps and the daytime running lamps employ LED units, while full LED headlamps are offered as an option.

Amazingly, Mercedes is offering two faces for the new E-Class. The basic version with the Elegance equipment line features the classic, 3D Saloon grille with three-louver look as well as Mercedes-Benz star on the bonnet. The sportier version with the Avant-garde equipment line features a sporty front end with centrally located Mercedes star and twin louver shaped around the star recess.
