2015 Nissan Nismo 370Z teased ahead of its ZDayz 2014 debut

Nissan has just announced a new Nismo model that will make its debut tomorrow at the ZDayz 2014. For those who don’t know, this event takes place on May 15-19th, 2014 at Fontana Village Resort in NC. As expected, the new model is based on the Nissan 370Z and taking a closer look at the teaser we believe that this new vehicle is actually the 2015 370Z Nismo.

If you recall, the current Nissan 370Z by Nismo arrived back in 2013 at the Chicago Motor Show, which means that the coupe needed a refresh. The teaser shows that the new Nismo global model comes with the same colours as the Nissan GT-R by Nismo.

We also expect the new coupe from Nismo to use the same 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift Control (VVEL) found on the current model. We also believe that the new sports car will be more powerful than the current version, but do not expect a dramatic increase.

For the 2015 model year, Nissan 370Z Nismo boasts of a tweaked exterior. Its new looks are more aggressive and more aerodynamic thanks to a redesign of its GT-R-inspired aerodynamic body pieces. These functional elements also help optimize downforce to both the front and rear sections of the 370Z Nismo.

The front end features changes like a new, deep front fascia with black headlight bezels, Hyper Daytime Running Lights that employ LED technology. The front end also sports the Nismo emblem while the integrated front chin spoiler features the signature Nismo red stripe accent, which continues on the redesigned side sills, on the black-colored sideview mirrors as well as across the lower section of the tweaked rear fascia.

The now smaller Nismo rear spoiler features a new shape. The Nissan 370Z Nismo rides on restyled standard twin-five spoke 19-inch Nismo super-lightweight forged aluminum-alloy wheels by Rays. The new rims have a charcoal gray machine-finish.

Meanwhile, the Nismo-styled interior of the Nissan 370Z Nismo is provided with redesigned black-and-red Recaro leather-appointed seats with Alcantara accents. The new Recaro seats were exclusively designed to deliver a more uniform body pressure, thereby allowing for better all-direction holding when the Nissan 370Z Nismo is in spirited acceleration, cornering or braking.

Furthermore, these Recaro seats help optimize the harmony between driver and Nissan 370Z Nismo. In addition, the seats are provided with red trim and stitching with Nismo logo. The new Nissan 370Z Nismo also features Nismo red tachometer as well as steering wheel wrapped in leather and appointed in Alcantara.
