The 2015 Opel Corsa E will make its world debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show but today, the German manufacturer announced the pricing for its latest entry. As a result, the entry-level Corsa E will start at 11,980 euros and we are talking about the three-door bodystyle with a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine delivering 70 hp (51 kW).

If you want the new 1.0-liter EcoTec Direct Injection Turbo petrol engine with 90 hp (66 kW) as well as 170 Nm of torque, you have to pay 14,480 euros for the three-door version and 15,230 euros for the five-door version.

Opel also offers a more powerful version of the 1.0-liter EcoTec petrol engine, which delivers 115 hp (85 kW). Fitted with Start/Stop technology as standard, the 90 hp version of the 1.0-liter engine needs just 4.3 liters of gasoline to travel 100 km in the combined cycle.

Opel’s Corsa E also receives the 1.4-liter turbo engine developing 100 hp (74 kW) and 200 Nm of torque, as well as a naturally-aspirated version which pumps out 90 hp (66 kW). Diesel engines are available too and the entry-level model can be ordered from 14,930 euros (three-door-version), while the five-door versions costs an extra 750 euros.

The 1.3-liter CDTI diesel engine generates 75 hp (55 kW) and 95 hp (70 kW). According to Opel, both engines are offered as standard with Start/Stop technology and the 95 hp version is available with a 5-speed manual transmission and braking energy recuperation.

As a result, fuel consumption of the 1.3-liter CDTI engine is just 3.2 liters per 100 km in the combined cycle, which translates into 85 g/km of CO2 emissions.

A six-speed Easytronic 3.0 availavle as an option for just 575 euros and on the 1.4-liter EcoFLEX engine developing 90 hp (66 kW) it reduces fuel consumption down to 4.7 liters per 100 km in the combined cycle, equaling CO2 emissions of 110 g/km. P.S. Prices are available in Germany and include VAT.

The fifth generation of the Opel Corsa features a youthful design both on the exterior and the interior, conveying a new level of sophistication, workmanship and clarity. The next-gen model is designed to further the more than three decades of success of the Corsa nameplate.

Opel will offer the fifth-gen Corsa either as a three-door coupe-like model or a five-door functional family vehicle. Its exterior is influenced by Opel's design philosophy, combining flowing, sculptural shapes with precisely designed details. With this design philosophy, the new Corsa is undeniably a part of Opel’s latest generation of vehicles. Its interior, meanwhile, offers accommodative space for five occupants while making use of a new design and premium materials.

Mark Adams, Vice President Design for Opel, quipped that the new Corsa perfectly interprets their design philosophy. He described the new Corsa as an elegant design with sporty-looking small car marked by seamlessly sculpted body, taut lines, sophisticated surfacing and signature 'blade' body sides.

Adams said the interior of the vehicle features high-quality materials, outstanding craftsmanship and innovative infotainment. He added that the new Corsa is targeted towards customers who don’t want to invest much in a car while seeking premium attributes.

The new Opel Corsa also comes with a sculptural wing-shaped IP top-pad that features taut surfaces and flowing transitions as surrounded by elegant decors spanning the entire length of the instrument panel, helping highlight the width and spaciousness of the interior.
