Subaru of America announced that the 2015 WRX will have a starting price of $27,090 (including destination and delivery charge). For these money, you will receive a brand new 2015 Subaru WRX powered by a new 2.0-liter direct injection turbo Boxer engine that generates 268 hp, mated to the standard six-speed manual transmission.

The 2015 WRX is available in standard, Premium and Limited Trim lines. All models feature the new 4.3-in. LCD screen that shows a multitude of vehicle system functions, a including a standard rear camera display, a boost gauge display, audio (on non-navigation models), Bluetooth and climate control settings, and a VDC screen showing traction control operation.

Other standard features include automatic climate control and a new standard audio system featuring AM/FM stereo with HD Radio, single-disc in-dash CD player, 6 speakers, MP3/WMA capability, Radio Data Broadcast System (RDBS), Bluetooth hands-free calling and audio streaming, iPod control capability, iTunes Tagging, USB port, SiriusXM® Satellite Radio (subscription required), and a 3.5mm auxiliary audio input jack.

The 2015 Subaru WRX Premium costs $29,290 (including destination and delivery charge) for the model using the six-speed manual transmission and $30,490 (including destination and delivery charge) for the model equipped with the CVT (continuously variable transmission).

The WRX premium adds All-Weather Package (dual-mode heated front seats, heated exterior mirrors and windshield wiper de-icer), power tilt/slide glass moonroof, fog lights as well as a low-profile trunk spoiler that augments the car’s aero body package.

The 2015 Subaru WRX Limited is priced at $30,790 (including destination and delivery charge) for the model equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and $31,990 for the models using the CVT. The WRX Limited adds leather-trimmed upholstery, an 8-way power driver’s seat and Welcome Lighting, but also LED low-beam headlights provide a unique look and enhanced visibility.

The exterior design of the Subaru WRX conveys an aggressive yet dynamically refined appearance appropriate for the brand flagship performance model.

This is highlighted by a front end with a nose cone design and Subaru’s signature hexagonal grille. This grille is flanked by boldly shaped new hawkeye headlights, which accentuate the WRX’s aggressive wide and low styling.

When viewed on the side, it is apparent that the lower end of the A-pillar has been extended 200 mm to the front while the C-pillar has been designed for a seamless transition to the trunk surface. The sporty flanks of the new WRX are made more prominent by front fender ducts and special sharp side sill spoilers. The looks of flanks are completed by new more rigid and lighter 17-inch alloy wheels (17x8J) in dark gun metal finish.

On the rear, the new Subaru WRX is provided with a diffuser-integrated bumper and twin dual exhaust pipes – both underscoring the performance model’s driving performance and low center of gravity. To further highlight the width of the new WRX, the performance flagship is equipped with thin rear combination lamps. The rear end also features a small rear spoiler. The new Subaru WRX is also provided with a shark fin antenna.

Subaru employed light emitting diodes for the low beams and clearance lamps of the headlights as well as for the rear and brake lights. The high-mounted brake light also employs LED units.

Two new colors have been added to the exterior palette: WR Blue Pearl and Crystal White Pearl.
