Earlier, we told you that the 2015 Subaru WRX has a starting price of $27,090. Now, we will talk about its more powerful brother, the 2015 Subaru WRX STI. The 2015 WRX STI is priced from $35,290 (including destination and delivery charges). This means that you will get the 2.5-liter turbocharged Boxer engine bolted to a six-speed manual transmission, but also an array of technologies such as the availability of a harman/kardon premium audio system and rear camera display standard.

The 2015 Subaru WRX STI is available in Standard, Limited and Launch Edition trim lines. Each model comes with the special hood, fenders, doors and quarters, bumpers, headlights and taillight clusters that convey the WRX STI identity.

Other features include the foglight surrounds with a carbon fiber-like pattern and front fender vents that feature a mesh screen. Moreover, the aerodynamic package includes a large trunk spoiler that has been a WRX STI signature feature, a rear diffuser, LED taillights and LED center high-mount stop lamp (CHMSL). Standard features for the 2015 WRX STI include dual-zone automatic climate control and the All-Weather Package (dual-mode heated front seats, heated exterior mirrors and windshield wiper de-icer).

Moreover, the sports car is available with the new standard audio system combines AM/FM stereo with HD Radio, a single-disc in-dash CD player, 6 speakers, MP3/WMA capability, Radio Data Broadcast System (RDBS), Bluetooth hands-free calling and audio streaming, iPod control capability, iTunes Tagging, SiriusXM Satellite Radio (subscription required), USB port and a 3.5mm auxiliary audio input jack.

The 2015 WRX Launch Edition is priced at $38,190 (including destination and delivery charge). This model comes with a specially reinforced 6-speed manual transmission, which includes a short-throw shifter.

Subaru will only produce 1,000 units of the WRX STI Launch Edition, each featuring the traditional WR Blue Pearl color and equipped with gold-painted 18-inch BBS alloy wheels. The 2015 Subaru WRX STI Limited is priced at $38,290. Besides the 6-speed manual transmission, the WRX SRI Limited model adds the luxury of leather-trimmed upholstery, an 8-way power driver’s seat and the harman/kardon premium audio system.

The bolder front end of the new 2015 Subaru WRX STI is defined by its "nose-cone" configuration that combines the hexagonal grille and bumper cap into a single unit. Featuring a lighter bonnet that is made from aluminum, the new WRX STI employs narrower raptor-like headlights, which offers a more powerful stare by employing LED low-beam headlights as standard.

As designed, the specific character of the new Subaru WRX STI is communicated by its special hood, fenders, bumpers, headlights and taillight clusters as well as doors and quarters. Just like its predecessor, the new WRX STI models features a functional scoop on the hood – now set deeper for better forward visibility -- providing more cooling air into the intercooler.

The new Subaru WRX STI also conveys its performance-focused nature through various elements like the fog light surrounds with a carbon fiber-like pattern as well as the front fender vents with a mesh screen. The new Subaru WRX STI is provided with a full aerodynamic body package that includes a massive rear spoiler. Also helping identify this performance car as the new Subaru WRX STI are its rear diffuser, LED taillights and LED center high-mount stop lamp (CHMSL).

As expected, the body of the new Subaru WRX STI extensively employs high-tensile steel and even uses special stiffening elements at certain locations. Since it features a stiffer chassis, the new Subaru WRX STI is more responsive in terms of steering. Its 13.0:1 steering ratio allows for a quick 2.5 turns lock-to-lock. A standard WRX model features a 14.5:1 steering ration and 2.8 turns lock-to-lock.
