2016 Bentley Continental GT Speed Breitling Jet Team Series unveiled

Article by Christian A., on July 1, 2015

Bentley has recently launched the Continental GT Speed Breitling Jet Team Series – an exclusive series with only seven cars to be produced. Each one takes inspiration from one of the seven Breitling Jets, demonstrating the brand’s prowess in merging performance and luxury. The Breitling Jet Team will have a grand tour this summer throughout the U.S. and Canada.

In celebration of this event, the Mulliner division created a reimagining of the Continental GT Speed to reflect the unique look of the Breitling Jets, combining extreme customization with tremendous speed. The paint used for its exterior is a stunning duo-tone split of Hallmark and Onyx. The highlights chosen were color matched to the exact Pantone of Breitling’s Yellow to mirror the trademark appearance of the L-39 Albatros Jets.

The interior also uses the same bespoke color scheme. Its one-of-a-kind sculpted seats have Breitling Yellow accents. Every car has its own individual number as one of the seven Breitling Jets. The dashboard features a carbon fibre fascia panel with an image of the seven planes in their signature Avenger flight formation. The corresponding jet is emphasized in Breitling Yellow.

In the same manner, the car uses hide and thread that matches Breitling’s signature yellow. Mulliner has come up with a series of graphics and logos that can be seen on the headrests, indicating the car’s number and the jet where it got its inspiration. In addition, the tread plate plaques have individual numbers.

The series is scheduled to make its debut on July 31 in Seattle at the Boeing Seafair Airshow where the Breitling Jet Team is set to perform. The buyer will get the key personally from the plane’s pilot, but only after being taken on an exciting flight on the corresponding jet. Mulliner aims to fill the requirements of the most discerning customers of Bentley.

The Limited Editions use themes that are inspirational and that have been meticulously selected. Mulliner’s finished products have special significance to buyers in their respective markets but what they all have in common is the utmost standards of craftsmanship. Mulliner pushes the Bentley luxury concept even further. There’s no question that because of how rare Mulliner Limited Editions are, they’re all likely to become classics.
