Article by Christian A., on December 1, 2016

Ford sure knows how to excite and thrill its customers. This comes as Ford is offering its customers in Europe the chance to own not just one, but two special editions of the Ford Mustang.

Created exclusively for the European market, these Mustang special editions are based on the Mustang GT Fastback and come with an array of high-level elements that includes heated and cooled seats, as well as the Ford SYNC 3 infotainment system with navigation, and a premium audio system.

Ford’s SYNC 3 system – featuring an eight-inch touchscreen – allows drivers to locate pertinent places nearby like gas stations, restaurants, or even car parks just by pressing a button and saying “I need petrol,” “I need a coffee,” or “I need to park.”

First up is the Ford Mustang Black Shadow Edition that will be available starting January 2017. Available in four body colors -- Grabber Blue, Platinum White, Race Red and Triple Yellow – this Europe-only Ford Mustang special model is powered by 5.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 421 PS and mated to either a six-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic gearbox.

The Ford Mustang Black Shadow Edition is defined by a black Pony emblem on the GT grille as well as black 5.0-liter badges on the front wings. In addition, this special Pony’s bonnet bulge ridges are marked by dissolve-effect black stripes which can also be found running on the lower sides as sandwiched by lower wheel arches. Completing the exterior looks of the Ford Mustang Black Shadow Edition are exclusive black 19-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels.

In addition, the Ford Mustang Black Shadow Edition offers an interior laden with premium black leather interior with prominent instrument panel stitching and matching door inserts, as well as heated and cooled front seats. Cabin entertainment comes courtesy of a premium ShakerPro audio system with 12-speakers and an eight-inch boot-mounted subwoofer. Likewise, the Ford Mustang Black Shadow Edition is provided with parking sensors.

The second Mustang special model from Ford is the Mustang Blue Edition, which is wrapped in one of Ford’s distinctive Grabber colors – Grabber Blue. It was one of the over 20 different Grabber colors offered on the Mustang at a given time, following their debut on the 1969 Shelby GT350 and GT500 models.

This Grabber Blue exterior color on the Mustang Blue Edition is complemented by central dissolve-effect black stripes on the bonnet and on the roof as well as black 19-inch multi-spoke alloys wheels. This Mustang special model is powered by either a 5.0-liter V8 engine (421 PS) or a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine (317 PS). These engines could be mated to either a six-speed manual gearbox or an automatic transmission.
