At the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show, McLaren launched a new model, the 540C Coupe, a vehicle that completes its two car line-up in the McLaren Sports Series. Priced from 126,000 GBP in the UK, the new McLaren 540C Coupe can be already pre-ordered but the first deliveries are scheduled in early 2016.
Regarding the suspension system, this is newly-developed and ensures enhanced levels of driver management on both road and track. Adaptive dampers offer control over bump and rebound settings using the familiar McLaren ‘Normal’, ‘Sport’ and ‘Track’ handling settings, with the Sports Series having its own unique damper settings.
Inside, the vehicle shows the same organic cues as the exterior. There is a 7-inch IRIS touchscreen that controls all elements of the infotainment system, as well as the air conditioning.
In addition, the touchscreen also controls the standard DAB digital radio, satellite navigation, Bluetooth telephony and media streaming, voice activation and the audio media player. What’s more interesting is that the IRIS system also includes the electronic owner’s manual.
