Article by Christian A., on November 19, 2015

Mercedes-Benz’s customers in the United Kingdom could now order the New Vito Sport, with a starting price of £25,495 (excluding VAT) for the 116 BlueTEC Compact van. Available both in panel van and crew van versions as well as in Compact or Long body lengths, the Vito Sport is powered by either a 116 BlueTEC and 119 BlueTEC engine, both already compliant with the Euro 6 emission regulations.

The New Vito has more functional and styling features. For instance, the exterior of the Vito Sport now features chrome sidebars and front grille trim, front fog lamps with chrome trim and rear tailgate chrome trim. Also added are color-coded bumpers, a distinct rear model badging and five-spoke alloy wheels.

Moving into the cabin, the Vito Sport features comfortable driver and single passenger seats, air-conditioning, Audio 15 infotainment system with color screen, as well as ‘Sport’ branded floor mats and tinted glass. All Vito Sport models can be fitted with the optional plug-in Becker MapPilot navigation system, which integrates navigation features via standard Auto 15 headunit and visual display.

Since 2009, the Vito Sport has been a vital member of Mercedes’ Vito line-up, with the New Vito variant offering better standard specification at a competitive tag. On the other hand, Mercedes-Benz will introduce Sport-X models, which are being developed alongside the Sport, in the first quarter of 2016.

The quoted price is ex-factory and excludes VAT and delivery. All model prices include Sport standard finish paint. Sales and marketing of the Vito in the UK are the responsibility of Mercedes-Benz Vans, which is also in charge of all Daimler Van products and services in the country.

A division of Mercedes-Benz UK, Mercedes-Benz Vans had an amazing year in the UK in 2014, posting 16.1-percent more registrations to 35,036 vehicles.

NEW VITO SPORT PRICING ANNOUNCED

The ever-popular, UK-specific Vito Sport model is now available to order in its New Vito guise.

Priced from £25,495 (excl VAT) for the New Vito Sport 116 BlueTEC Compact van, the Vito Sport is available both in a panel van and crew van option, which offers an extra row of seats.

The 116 BlueTEC and 119 BlueTEC engines are both available for Vito Sport, which meet the stringent Euro 6 emission regulations, along with a choice of Compact and Long body lengths.

The already excellent standard specification of the New Vito is further enhanced by a combination of functional and styling features, which set the Vito Sport apart from the norm.

Exterior visual styling elements include chrome sidebars and front grille trim, unique rear model badging, front fog lamps with chrome trim, rear tailgate chrome trim, colour-coded bumpers and five-spoke alloy wheels.

Inside the Vito Sport, the driver’s environment is paramount with air-conditioning, comfort driver and single passenger seats, ‘Sport’ branded floor mats, Audio 15 infotainment system with colour screen, and tinted glass.

As standard, all Vito Sport models are pre-prepared for the use of the optional plug-in Becker MapPilot navigation system – a cost-effective way of bringing fully-integrated navigation features through the standard Auto 15 headunit and visual display.

The Vito Sport has become a key part of the Vito line-up since its introduction in 2009, and the New Vito variant takes the existing successful formula, and enhances it with improved standard specification and competitive pricing.

Sport-X models are under development alongside the Sport, and expected to be available from Q1 2016.
