Mercedes-Benz’s Mercedes-Maybach S600 flagship will have a starting price of $190,275, including shipping, when it goes on sale in April this year. The S600 is derived from the S-class sedan that has a base price of $167,825, including shipping. The Mercedes-Maybach S600 will be around 8 inches longer than the standard S-class sedan at 214.6 inches.

Mercedes re-launching Maybach as a sub-brand and units under it will feature upscale interiors and options. The Maybach sub-brand will eventually include an E class and SUV. The Maybach S600 is powered by a 6.0-liter, V-12, bi-turbo engine that provides up to 523 hp.

According to the carmaker, the level of wind noise inside the cabin of the S600 is even lower than the S-class Coupe, which is touted as the “quietest car in the world.”

The Maybach S600 features standard equipment that includes the Intelligent Drive safety and semi-autonomous driving package, the Magic Body Control active suspension, a new generation LED lighting and high-end entertainment systems.

The Maybach, however, will not be the priciest S class offered by Mercedes, since the high-performance S65 AMG carries a starting tag of $222,950. Likewise, AMG will remain as Mercedes’ high-performance range.
