Overfinch announces astonishing prices for Range Rover Manhattan and London special editions

Article by Christian A., on October 18, 2016

Manhattan is considered as the financial capital of the world. London, on the other hand, is regarded as one of the leading financial centers in the world. Thus, Leeds-based customization shop Overfinch is paying tribute to these places by having the latest highly exclusive special edition Range Rovers named after them – the Range Rover Manhattan Edition and the Range Rover London Edition.

Overfinch started the project with what is considered as the peak of Range Rover luxury -- the Range Rover Autobiography V8 L that comes with base price of £112,150 ($142,838) in the United Kingdom. This range-topping Range Rover is powered by a 5.0-liter, supercharged V8 engine that delivers up to 510 hp (380 kilowatts) of output that allows the vehicle to sprint terrifically from zero to 60 miles per hour (100 km per hour) in just five seconds and achieve a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).

Usually, Overfinch tunes the engines of its projects before adding exclusive touches and finishes to both the exterior and the interior. However, Overfinch decided not to tinker with the configuration of the Manhattan Edition and the London Edition, which means these special models are still mechanically identical to the Range Rover Autobiography V8 L they were based on.

Both the Manhattan Edition and the London Edition were so intricate that they required hundreds of hours of impeccable work. In fact, it took Overfinch up to 250 hours for each edition to transform the interior into an elaborate and purely luxurious work of art – an Art Deco depiction of the skylines of Manhattan and London.

This amount of time should not come as a surprise considering the fact that Overfinch craftsmen had to fabricate around 5,500 of interior bits from stainless steel, abalone shell five types of veneer and lay them down to get the American burr Walnut background. These pieces were also sand-shaded to provide a sense of depth and shadow.

Both the Manhattan Edition and the London Edition feature completely reupholstered interiors in quilted Bridge of Weir leather. The Manhattan interior comes in Ivory color with Ebony detailing while the London edition is specified in Cirrus color with Navy detailing. Both editions have machined sills plates and Overfinch Limited Edition rotary dial inserts.

To distinguish the new Overfinch Range Rovers from each other, the British customization expert wrapped the Manhattan Edition in black and the London Edition in blue. In addition, the Manhattan Edition rides on 22-inch Overfinch Equus wheels while the London Edition rolls on 22-inch Tora rims. Both editions don full Overfinch body kits that include a grille, deeper bumpers and side panels, side gills, and rear spoiler.

The Manhattan and London editions of the Overfinch Range Rover are priced at £249,990 (around $300,000).
