Article by Christian A., on November 3, 2015

Considered as the most stylish version of this sports car, the all new Scion FR-S Release Series 2.0 will be available in the market in 2016. With only 1,000 units available and fitted with the most luxurious appointments and additional premium features, the new FR-S Release Series 2.0 is by far the most exclusive and the most highly coveted Scion Release Series model.

New Scion FR-S Release Series 2.0 comes with a luxurious black and camel themed interior, including an all-black Alcantara and leather heated seats with camel-colored accents.

The leather steering wheel also uses black and camel. The cars shift knob, parking brake lever, center armrest and knee pads are all covered in black leather.

Camel accent stitching is also visible in the door armrest and upper door trim. All 1000 cars are numbered according to the sequence that they’re made.

This release series badge is seen as embroidery on the dash insert. To keep up with the luxurious interiors, the exterior of the car comes with Lunar Storm paint, a set of 17-inch forged alloy wheels, and a one-of-a-kind aero kit that features spoilers on the front lip and trunk.

Several upgrades are also added, including a Smart key with push-button start, a set of HID headlamps with LED daylight running lamps, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

According to Andrew Gilleland, the Vice President of Scion, the FR-S is already recognized as a “fabulous sports car.” However, with the latest upgrades and its luxurious additions, the New Scion FR-S Release Series 2.0 is not only “perfect” for racing, but it is also ideal for red carpet occasions.

The 2016 FR-S Release Series 2.0 will be available with a six-speed manual transmission (with a MSRP of $29,510) or a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and Dynamic Rev Management technology (which costs $30,610, plus delivery, processing and handling fee of $795).

Established in 2003, Scion is Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc.'s test laboratory division, which develops various products and processes to set Toyota apart from its competitors.

With customer’s passions in mind, Scion successfully created a model line-up that includes the all-new iM five-door hatchback, the iconic xB urban utility vehicle, the all-new iA sports sedan, the FR-S rear-wheel drive sports car, and the tC sports coupe.

To meet the challenging demands of young drivers, Scion offers an easy and haggle-free buying experience.
