Toyota has given the Land Cruiser a major makeover that goes beyond its design. The Land Cruiser has always been the brand’s extremely luxurious SUV with the most impressive capabilities. But the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser is expected to exceed everyone’s expectations with its new design elements inside and out, a significant upgrade on its drivetrain, improved multimedia features, and new safety technology.
Everything on the 2016 Land Cruiser is new from the A-pillar forward. It now has a new design signature with its bumper, projector-beam LED low and high beam headlights, grille, integrated Land Cruiser logo, and headlight cleaners.
From behind, the Land Cruiser has a new signature with its new taillights with light-tube design and LED brake lights, a new full-width chrome molding and a new bumper. The model’s profile becomes more muscular with its chrome body side molding embossed with the Land Cruiser logo as well as a set of new-design 18-inch alloy wheels. As usual, there’s only one version of the Toyota Land Cruiser.
It will be an eight-seater and it will be fully-equipped. It doesn’t have any factory options but hardly any are needed. The 2016 model can have its new semi-aniline perforated leather in either black or new Terra (brown). A Deep Wood trim is the accent chosen for the black interior and Terra interiors.
It uses high-quality materials that go well with its redesigned center console that has a more cohesive look and features more intuitive controls. The Entune head unit has been given an upgrade, with Siri Eyes Free mode and other performance improvements. If the system is paired with an iPhone, the driver only has to press a button on the steering wheel and then tells Siri any request. It also comes with a new Qi wireless phone charging (for compatible devices).
It has a heated luxurious new steering wheel that also integrates switches for the multi-information display, a new Toyota Safety Sense-P system, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
