Now on sale in several major markets around the world including Europe, the BMW 5 Series (G30) heralds the arrival of the new seventh generation and represents a whole new level of luxury and comfort. Of course, the BMW 5 Series is now beginning to arrive at key markets around the world, including the city of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.

In charge of sales and after-market of BMW vehicles in this city is BMW Abu Dhabi Motors, which is incidentally, the luxury carmaker’s largest dealership in the world. Just recently, BMW Abu Dhabi Motors has announced on its Facebook page the arrival of the new generation of the 5 Series into its showroom. To announce the arrival of the 5 Series into its fold, BMW Abu Dhabi Motors posted 27 images of the luxury sedan, which came in the guise of the BMW 540i Sport Line.

As we know, BMW will be offering the new 2017 BMW 5 Series in two Line packages at launch -- Luxury Line and Sport Line. The Luxury Line for the 5 Series further accentuates the luxurious and opulent nature of the vehicle chrome exterior accents. This Line also features specific wheels in 18-inch or 19-inch wheels, a Sensatec-covered instrument panel and interior leather with contrast stitching. On the other hand, Sport Line highlights the dynamic character of the 5 Series through a number of high-gloss black elements and 18-inch wheels. The door sills also feature an illuminated BMW Sport Line badge. Inside, the 5 Series Sport Line comes loaded with Sport seats with a cloth/leather combo, a specific interior trim and a BMW sports leather steering wheel.

BMW Abu Dhabi Motors is also offering a number of optional features and equipment for the BMW 540i Sport Line. For instance, customers may avail of the optional 20-inch BMW Individual two-tone V-Spoke wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires. Moreover, customers may also avail of a Shadow Line treatment for the luxury sedan’s window surrounds. Meanwhile, the interior of the BMW 540i Sport Line is as luxurious as ever, fitted with a leather-wrapped dashboard with wooden details and an M-Sport steering wheel. Occupants are treated to brown perforated leather seats with white stitching.

As for the core of the BMW 540i Sport Line, this 5 Series model is powered by a turbocharged six-cylinder 3.0-liter engine that delivers at most 340 hp (250 kW) of output at 5,500 rpm as well as up to 332 lb.-ft. (450 Nm) of torque available from 1,380 rpm. This amount of power could allow the 1,595-kg (3,516 lbs) rear-wheel drive version of the BMW 540i Sport Line to sprint from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 5.1 seconds and achieve an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
