2017 BMW Alpina B7 surprises in a Java Green special color

Right when Halloween costume parties have died down, there is this one car that doesn’t care about being late and is up for a good show. A dealership in Abu Dhabi dresses up the new 2017 BMW Alpina B7 in a shade of green reminiscent of Kermit the Frog. The Java Green body paint may come as an unusual choice, but a few car owners are bold enough.

BMW’s Individual catalogue offers a wide choice of special paints for those who dare to be different. That certainly didn’t stop BMW Abu Dhabi’s client to go for what he really likes. And by that, he had chosen the Java Green Metallic for his new Alpina B7. Never mind if the BMW 7 Series looks better in grey, blue or black. Besides, BMW Abu Dhabi has used the same Java Green in other special orders. This isn’t the first time that the striking green color has appeared in their showroom. Eccentric car buyers always get what they want.

Aside from wearing the flamboyant “costume”, the car on display also comes with special wooden interior trims. The wooden finish along the centre console, door panels and dashboard make it more elegant on the inside than it is from the outside.

The official images of the Alpina B7 are made with sportier trims so this is quite the opposite. Again, that’s part of being unique. The 2017 BMW Alpina’s interior as we know is wrapped in luxurious Nappa leather with ceramic inserts aside from Alpina’s signature line such as the iconic Myrtle Luxury Wood and Piano lacquer for the cabin trims.

With a top speed of 193mph, the 2017 Alpina B7 XDrive is in fact the best rival we can think of for Audi A8 as well as with Mercedes Benz’s AMG S-Class models. The car is equipped with 4.4L V8 engine along with Valvetronic, gasoline direct injection and twinturbo charging technology. This engine is capable of producing 600bhp between 5,750 rpm and 6,250 rpm, making the Alpina B7 go from 0-60 miles per hour in less than 3.6 seconds.

It was only last September that the 2017 BMW Alpina B7 xDrive became available at select dealerships. This third generation of Alpina is based on the BMW 7 Series. Thus, is also considered for its performance, dynamics and luxurious comfort. In line with this, the BMW Alpina B7 x Drive is offered with a two-axle air suspension with Dynamic Damper Control and Active Comfort Drive. Meanwhile, the Integral Active Steering system provides the xDrive with exceptional handling and performance.
