Lamborghini launches Aventador S Coupe online configurator with numerous exterior options

It didn’t take too much time before Lamborghini launched an online configurator – an official one –for the new Lamborghini Aventador S Coupe. Of course, such a configurator is a much welcomed tool for those seeking to build their own Aventador S Coupe based on their preferred features and specs.

Lamborghini’s online configurator allows potential customers to build their Aventador S Coupe according to their wishes. First, users will be made to choose from a wide array of exterior colors. There are five exterior color sets: standard, three layers, metallic, Ad Personam and Ad Personam Matt. Standard colors include Nero Aldebaran (black), Giallo Evros (yellow) and Bianco Isi (white).

Two three-layer colors are available: the yellow-like Arancio Atlas and the orange-like Arancio Argos. Potential buyers could also choose from six metallic colors: reddish Rosso Mars, blackish Nero Pegaso, grayish Grigio Antares, dark grayish Grigio Estoque, night bluish Blue Hera and sky bluish Azurro Thetys. Ad Personam colors include the Verde Ithaca (green), Rosso Efesto (red), Blu Cepheus and Blu Nethuns (blue), Balloon White, and New Giallo Orion (yellow). Choices for the Ad Personam Matt colors are Nero Nemesis (black), Bianco Canopus (white), Marrone Apus (brown), Giallo Horus (yellow), Grigio Titans and Griogio Adamas (gray).

As for the wheels, there are five available sets. These include three Dione forged wheels in sizes 20 inches and 21 inches: Argento, Titanio Opaco and Nero Lucido. Also included in the choices are two Iperione wheels in sizes 19 inches and 20 inches: Argento and Nero Lucido. Potential customers could also choose from five colors for the brake calipers – red, yellow, orange, black and gray.

Aside from the standard engine bonnet, potential customers could also opt for the transparent engine hood or the T-Style engine hood in carbon fiber. Moreover, potential customers could also have these elements made in carbon fiber: engine cover, bay trim and X-frame as well as the exterior details, front bumper and rear bumper details.

Lamborghini’s online configurator only allows customers to tinker with the exterior looks of their Aventador S Coupe. Should customers wish to play with the interior configuration of their Aventador S Coupe, they could do so by contacting their Lamborghini dealer.

There are no mentioned upgrade options for the engine of the new Lamborghini Aventador S Coupe. This means that its core remains to be the naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine that could deliver 740 hp of max output and 690 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm.

This V12 engine provides only 30 hp less output than the powerplant in the Centenario, which is regarded as the most powerful Lamborghini production series model. Along with a dry weight of just 1,575 kg, the 6.5-liter V12 engine allows the Aventador S to dash from standstill to 100 km/h in around 2.9 seconds, on the way to a top speed of 350 km/h. Power is sent to the wheels through an Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) 7-speed shifting system.
