2017 Lincoln MKZ is the latest entry into the fleet of Lincoln cars. It is an exemplary model that uses intuitive technology combined with distinctive design and efficient on-road performance, summed up by Lincoln as “quiet luxury.” Lincoln has focused on important areas like quality, performance and style which are the most sought-after qualities by present day luxury midsize sedan customers.

As stated by Kumar Galhotra, President of Lincoln, the new Lincoln MKZ has all the qualities that customers are looking for in a luxury midsize sedan – the latest technology that makes everyday travel easier, an eye-catching design, and impressive power output that make driving pleasurable.

All these attributes and many more make the new Lincoln MKZ a highly competitive member in the luxury car market. Buyers who are seeking a world of difference in the luxury car segment have been kept in mind while designing the new Lincoln MKZ.

Technological features like the push button gear shift and redesigned interiors and the floating center console add to the pleasure of driving this intelligent and well-designed beauty.

The Lincoln MKZ is being launched with an all-new 3.0 liter GTDI V6 engine that’s exclusive to the brand. It also features an excellent Active Noise Control system that works efficiently to create a quiet ambience in the cabin. The new Lincoln MKZ has noticeable and unique design features that make travel ultra-comfortable and enjoyable.

Storage spaces have been expanded to accommodate more cargo. Three Lincoln Black Label interior packages have been made available. The buyers can benefit from various amenities like personal in-home design consultation, a fully retractable panoramic glass room, and premium quality concert-level Revel Audio whose speakers have been strategically placed in specially designed doors.

The driving experience has improved to a greater extent in the new Lincoln MKZ car. An adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go precision can slow the car or speed it up when the traffic demands it. The automated system also initiates the activation of brakes to stop the car completely even if the driver fails to make timely use of brakes.

Another drive-easy feature is the auto hold, in which the driver does not have to press and hold the brake, thus stop-and-go driving becomes more pleasurable and stress-free for MKZ drivers. The MKZ also has unique park assist technology which helps in parking the car accurately and comfortably into a parallel or perpendicular parking space.

Park-out is assisted by the car as required. Safety is foremost in the Lincoln MKZ design. The Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection has been incorporated into the vehicle to avoid possible frontal collisions or to reduce the severity of such collisions.

The Driver’s Package with the 3.0 liter V6 also incorporates 19 inch wheels, light Magnetic-painted grille, 19-inch wheels, aluminium pedal covers, Ebony painted callipers and Ebony interior with carbon fiber appliqués and customizable multi-contour seats.

The vehicle exhibits enhanced driving dynamics with availability of retuned continuously controlled damping and suspension. The all-new Lincoln MKZ has an impressive exterior appearance with highlighted adaptive LED headlamps to help the driver get a clearer vision. The lighting system is further paired with Lincoln’s signature one-piece grille.

Interior Design

Lincoln designers have paid extra attention to the car’s interiors. The new switches and dials have been improvised with enhanced sound and tactile features that replace slider adjustments and facilitate easier control of ventilation and audio controls.

The frequently used buttons and USB ports have been placed near the hand to allow easier access. The Lincoln MKZ is available for its buyers in two all-new Lincoln Black Label themes, Chalet and Vineyard, as well as a Thoroughbred theme.

The buyers can add high-end luxurious materials to have a more personalised touch. The sedan boasts of a fully retractable panoramic glass roof that is the largest open-air roof in the sedan segment. The new Lincoln MKZ will be available for sale from summer 2016.

The MKZ is powered by the strong and robust Lincoln-exclusive 3.0 liter GTDI V6. The twin-turbocharged engine along with an intelligent all-wheel-drive system is capable of producing 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque for a roaring on-road performance.

As part of the Driver’s Package in MKZ, Dynamic Torque Vectoring has been made available with the 3.0 liter engine, which results to amazing cornering agility without compromising comfort for both the passengers and the driver.

Lincoln MKZ is fitted with a hybrid option too in the form of a 2.0 liter GTDI, 245 horsepower four cylinder engine with front wheel drive. A special Lincoln Drive Control is an added amenity in the vehicle which allows drivers to choose from three drive modes – comfort, normal and sport -- through which the car can steer seamlessly according to the traffic situation.

The Drive Control system includes electric power-assisted steering and a continuously controlled damping system, to ensure effortless and intuitive handling.
