Mercedes-Benz goes zesty with its GLE Coupe OrangeArt Edition

Article by Christian A., on June 16, 2017

Mercedes-Benz will release more premium edition variants of its latest models that are closely based on the same concept of the SLC RedArt and SL design Edition. The car in question is the new GLE Coupe OrangeArt Edition which offers a model-specific upgrade.

In a bid to attract more consumers, the German marque will be offering its pseudo SUV-coupe with the premium edition treatment. The new variant is offered in a couple of black shades as well as in white, gray or silver hues. But what is eye-catching is that the Coupe can be aesthetically known for its orange accents of the rim flange and front apron.

Various eye-catchers in Orange lend the coupe a sporty look, and with its striking contrast, they give the vehicle a stylish vibe. The OrangeArt Edition Coupe also flaunts 21-inch alloy wheels directly from AMG's portfolio and will be offered as standard with a black LED ring meant for the headlights. The exterior's upgrades are only up to here, sorry to burst your bubble.

The German marque will offer the mid-sized, high-sided coupe with 4 engine options, ranging from a reasonable 3.0 L V6 turbodiesel to the 4.6 L 455hp V8 engine.

New Mercedes GLE Coupe OrangeArt Edition will be offered as standard together with the AMG Line exterior and Night packages, and can be yours in GLE 350d, GLE 400 and GLE 500 variants, as well as with the sporty GLE 4 specs. All of them will have the 4Matic all-wheel drive and will be rolled out to specific showrooms starting in August in Europe.

It's going to be offered as different interior and exterior packages for these 4 various models and the costs depends on the model to be chosen by the consumers. If you will opt for the pricier GLE 43 Coupe, then the novelties will cost cheaper: €715 for the exterior set and €2,439 for the interior package.

And for the 3 other models, it will be a bit hefty and will cost you around €4,165 and €2,618, respectively. These mentioned price tags will only apply for the German market. There is no official announcement yet if the special edition vehicle will be offered in the U.S. at this time.

Interior Design

For the interior, the GLE Coupe OrangeArt Edition will brandish an attractive orange piping and gray topstitching for its sports seat that will be covered with a combination of black Nappa leather and Dinamica microfiber.

The not so premium variant will feature this kind of upholstery and will be combined with added orange piping that will be seen throughout the interior including the AMG-branded floor mats.

Completing the list of enhancements are the brushed stainless steel sports pedals fitted with rubber studs, a 3 spoke steering wheel covered in black Nappa leather and an aluminium trim.
