There is a new Pagani Zonda built for TopCar customer

Article by Christian A., on November 9, 2017

A couple of years ago, it was rumoured that the Pagani Zonda will mark the end of its journey in June 2013 with the new Revolucion. But it seems like these rumours are not very accurate, because we keep seeing a new model every now and then. Case in point, this year alone, we witnessed three new one-offs by Pagani, namely the Fantasma Evo, Riviera, and Horacio’s own HP Barchetta. And apparently, Pagani is not done releasing new models yet because another one has emerged just recently.

So far, we have very few details about it but we do know that the owner is a customer of TopCar Design. If you have not heard of it, it is a Russian tuning company with headquarters in Moscow. One of the very few details we know about the new unnamed Zonda is that it will leave Pagani’s new factory in San Cesario Sul Panaro, Modena in the spring of next year.

Based on what we have heard, we are guessing that it would be an “original car” as opposed to an update of an existing car. So it would not be like a Riviera based on a 2005 Zonda F. Also, when looking at the images, it looks like Pagani’s latest creation had been inspired by the Cinque Roadster and the Tricolore.

Looking at it from the outside, it has been finished with an exposed carbon fiber in blue. It is accented by the colours of the Italian flag, and of course, TopCar’s logo. It is also contrasted by the car’s full width side strip in gold that matches the gold wheels as well. It has got a massive rear wing that also carries the Italian flag motif, as well as the carbon fiber roof scoop. Actually, most of what you see on the outside is made of carbon fiber. This includes the front fender vents, the splitter, side skirts and even the mirrors and the rear diffuser. Inside the cabin, there are wood accents, which you can find on the retro-styled steering wheel, handbrake lever, and gear knob to balance out the old with the new.

Under the hood, of course, is Zonda’s AMG V12, which can be found under the carbon clad engine bay. A standard Zonda has enough power to carry out an impressive 670 horsepower and 575 pound-feet (780 Newton-metres) of torque. Overall, it weighs just around 2,647 pounds (1,201 kilograms) when dry.

In conclusion, we do not know whether this car has the same specs as the other Pagani Zonda’s - but just look at it! We would definitely want to see and drive this thing in real life, don’t you?
