In front of the Central Saint Martin’s building of the University of the Arts in Granary Square, Kings Cross London, a bolder and more refined Range Rover Evoque Convertible was unveiled to the public.

Produced at the Land Rover Halewood plant in the United Kingdom, the Range Rover Evoque Convertible features a combination of elegance, versatility and refinement. It is the latest model to join the Range Rover range.

A sophisticated combination of the classic Evoque and a folding roof, the Range Rover Evoque Convertible is the perfect SUV for all-seasons both on- and off-road. It has a convertible four-seat design that gives it a larger and more flexible storage space.

However, it still exudes an elegance that sets it apart and has the qualities that fans of the brand have come to expect. For instance, it boasts of excellent rigidity in its structure and it meets the lofty standards set by the brand.

This means that this vehicle is highly capable while still possessing the finest luxurious features. According to Land Rover's Design Director and Chief Executive Officer, Gerry McGovern, it is the Range Rover Evoque Convertible’s world-class engineering and unique design that make it fascinating.

The vehicle's fabric roof creates an eye-catching silhouette that has stayed true to Range Rover's original award-winning design. Its Z-fold mechanism keeps it neatly nestled in the rear portion of the vehicle, making sure that it’s tucked away neatly while still maintaining the sleekness of the vehicle.

Even when the car is going as fast as 30 mph, its fully-automated design stows the roof in 18 seconds and raises it in 21 seconds. Moreover, acoustic insulation and interior comfort are guaranteed once the roof is closed – the same as with the five-door Range Rover Evoque.

Another upside is its 8.9 cubic feet or 251-liter luggage space, making it perfect for road trips. Inside the Range Rover Evoque Convertible is an all-new, 10.2 inch touch screen infotainment system. But this is no ordinary infotainment system as it features the next generation Jaguar Land Rover InControl Touch Pro, a gold mine for the tech-savvy.

It has a smartphone integration system, a door-to-door navigation, and WiFi connectivity. Not only that, it also boasts of a superb sound system. However, it is always advisable to take precautionary measures to avoid loss of control resulting to accidents while using the Land Rover InControl.

But to ease your worries, the Range Rover Evoque Convertible is not only chic but it also adds a touch of protection for its occupants. A roll-over protection system is found hidden in the rear portion of the vehicle where two aluminium bars are deployed within 90 milliseconds protecting its occupants.

Even as these systems are designed to protect, it is still advisable to take extra care. It must also be understood that these systems may not function during certain circumstances and safe driving must be prioritized at all times.

The Range Rover Evoque Convertible is a hybrid of the all-terrain capability of Land Rover vehicles and the advanced technologies of the five-door Range Rover Evoque. It has a 240-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine, nine-speed automatic transmission and Terrain Response system’ that is ideal for an on- and off-road trip whether it be spring, summer, fall or winter.

These three work well in its standard all-wheel drive system to get you going through every terrain and every season. The Range Rover Evoque Convertible is expected to continue the 45-year success of the Range Rover family, boosting the global Land Rover SUV market by 20 percent over the next five years based on the IHS Forecast in May 2015.

And starting mid-2016, we should be expecting the Range Rover Evoque Convertible to go on sale, along with the five-door and coupe body styles, on more than 170 markets worldwide showcasing the Land Rover’s excellence in the field of automobile manufacturing.
