When French carmaker Renault gave the Initiale Paris treatment to the Clio, Espace, Captur, and Koleos, these models never looked so great – making customers wanting more of these vehicles. Now, Renault is applying the same treatment to the Scenic and its bigger sibling, the Grand Scenic. Thus, customers could now avail from the Renault the new Scenic Initiale Paris and the Grand Scenic Initiale Paris.
This means that the Renault Scenic and the Renault Grand Scenic – in their Initiale Paris versions – will now be wrapped in the exclusive dark prune-hued metallic Amethyst Black finish and the star-pattern grille. Likewise, both the new Scenic Initiale Paris and the Grand Scenic Initiale Paris feature LED fog lamps with cornering function and ride on specific 20-inch wheels. Of course, this exclusive edition of the Scenic and the Grand Scenic will don the 'Initiale Paris' branding just below the diamond logo.
As soon as occupants open the door of either the Scenic Initiale Paris or the Grand Scenic Initiale Paris, they will be greeted by the 'Initiale Paris' sill guards. They will be welcomed by an interior that is wrapped in black or grey-patterned full-grain Nappa leather upholstery with embossed 'Initiale Paris' letterings. This full-grain Nappa leather is the same material that wraps the electrically-adjustable seats with heating and massage functions. This high-end material also wrapped the steering wheel and the gearshift lever of either the Scenic Initiale Paris or the Grand Scenic Initiale Paris. The center console and around the infotainment system will feature a specific color finish.
Bothe new Renault Scenic Initiale Paris and Grand Scenic Initiale Paris build on the Intens equipment level, but it comes with a couple of high-end features like a premium Bose audio system, Easy Park Assist and a color head-up display.
Optional features include a fixed panoramic glass sun roof, a metallic finish, more exterior colors (Pearlescent White, Honey Yellow and Amethyst Black metallic finish), Lane Keeping Assist, and two additional seats for the Grand Scenic Initiale Paris.
Renault will open the order books for the Scenic Initiale Paris and the five-seat Grand Scenic Initiale Paris on June 7, 2017. Interested customers could choose between three engines: an Energy TCe gasoline engine that provides 130 PS (128 hp); and two versions of the Energy dCi unit with power outputs of 130 PS (128 hp) and 160PS (158 hp). The 130-PS gasoline and diesel engines are mated to manual transmission while the 160-PS diesel engine is paired to a dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Starting prices for the Scenic Initiale Paris (in France) are: €33,200 for the Energy TCe; €36,300 for the Energy dCi 130; and €38,800. Base prices for the Grand Scenic Initiale Paris are: €33,800 for the Energy TCe; €36,900 for the Energy dCi 130; and €39,400.
