Soon, the current generation of the Aston Martin Vanquish will be reaching the end of the road, with the British automaker expected to reveal the next evolution of the flagship grand tourer sometime next year. But before it does, Aston Martin is revealing what is believed as the very final expression of the current Vanquish – the new Aston Martin Vanquish S Ultimate.
According to Aston Martin, the Vanquish S Ultimate will be available to global clients in just 175 examples. For those who want to a get a piece of the final edition of the Vanquish, Aston Martin is now accepting orders for this version. Customers are expected to receive their new Vanquish S Ultimate as early as Spring 2018.
Serving as the core of the Vanquish S Ultimate S edition is the same engine that powers the regular Vanquish S – a naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12 mill that delivers 595 bhp of max output as paired to an eight-speed Touchtronic III automatic transmission. It also gets three-stage adaptive damping and carbon ceramic brakes.
Available in either Coupe or Volante form, the Vanquish S Ultimate could be availed in any of the three Designer Themes, each having its own distinct exterior and interior elements. These elements are made more elegant by elegant details like carbon fiber side strakes with rose gold ‘Ultimate‘ decals and carbon fiber treadplates, as well as an ‘Ultimate’ sill plaque. The seats feature stitched quilting design with ‘Ultimate’ headrest embroidery.
One of the Designer Themes makes use of the Ultimate Black finish as a tribute to the first-gen Vanquish S Ultimate Edition. This finish is accentuated by Copper Bronze graphics around the front air intake and along the side sills, as well as on the rear diffuser. It offers black exhaust tailpipes, window trims, brake calipers, and five-spoke wheels. The front grille, bonnet openings and side strakes intensively use of carbon fiber. Meanwhile, the third Designer Theme boasts of a White Gold exterior finish with warm Bronze graphics, as accentuated by gloss black and carbon fiber detailing. The interior employs Chestnut Tan leather with Obsidian Black accents.
Of course, customers could have their Vanquish S Ultimate be finished in any exterior scheme and interior package they prefer at no extra charge. The new Vanquish S Ultimate Edition Coupe has a starting price of £211,995 in the United Kingdom and €278,995 in Germany. The Volante version has a base price of £223,995 in the UK and €293,995 in Germany.
