2018 BMW M5 (F90) online configurator is now up on German site for every fan’s enjoyment

A lot of gearheads we know enjoy tweaking their cars to make them look and perform like the dream car they cannot afford. There is nothing wrong with that though. And recently, BMW has launched the online configurator of the brand-new M5.

You’re probably wondering what’s available on the website. Well, first of all, there is a function where you can check out the car in 360-degrees - allowing you to check it out from all angles. Usually, online configurators would lead you to a page where you can pick your engine and transmission. But for the BMW M5 (F90), the only option is a 4.4 liter twin turbocharged V8, paired with an eight-speed automatic that will work with the company’s new xDrive all-wheel drive system. This engine carries out as much as 600 horsepower. Having only one engine option may not be the best thing the company has done.

Next comes the fun part, customers will be able to choose from a wide array of colour options, including some new ones for the F90-generation M5. Some of the interesting colours include Snapper Rocks Blue or Marina Bay Blue Metallic. We’re curious about how the former would look on the M5. Other colours include the Donington Grey and the Bluestone Metallic.

Customers will have three options for the wheels like the 20-inch Style 706M, as well as the 19-inch Style 705M. You could get the wheels in a bi-colour variant or in Jet Black. What we think looks best on the M5 would be the larger wheels in Jet black, as this instantly makes it look more aggressive.

Of course, you can customize the interior of the M5 as well. Having said that, there are a few colours that you could get such as a Smoke White leather with red stitching or you could go for an all black interior. The colour one will choose for the interior would probably depends on the colour you get on the outside. For the trim, you can have them finished in aluminum, carbon fiber and many others. As usual, the M5 will have M multifunction seats.

If you are content with your car at this point, then you can stop the configuration here. But you can also go all out and add some more options that would cost you a fortune if you don’t mind spending the extra money.

Now that the configurator is live, there’s no time to waste. Go to the site and personalize your BMW M5. And while you’re at it, share your thoughts with everyone else.
