2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon has a price of $84,995 with juicy options at $1

The much-hyped 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon certainly has attracted a lot of attention, and possibly many potential buyers. Now, here is good news for interested customers: Dodge has finally revealed how much they have to shell out just to get a new unit of the Challenger SRT Demon.

According to Dodge, the Challenger SRT Demon could be availed at a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $84,995, which already includes a $1,700 gas guzzler tax. However, this amount doesn’t include $1,095 in destination charges. At this price, a customer already has access to a number of standard features distinct to brand’s performance halo. Moreover, all customers are treated to a one full-day session at Bob Bondurant School of High-performance Driving (Chandler, Arizona), which is the Official High-performance Driving School of Dodge/SRT.

The new 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI Demon V8 engine that delivers – as standard 808 horsepower of max output and 717 lb.-ft. of peak torque – as mated to TorqueFlite 8HP90 eight-speed automatic transmission. Brembo lightweight high-performance brake system with two-piece rotors and SRT Demon-tuned three-mode Adaptive Damping Suspension (ADS) are also provided. Its lightweight aluminum wheels (18 x 11 inches) are wrapped in 315/40R18 street-legal drag radial tires.

As standard, this new car from Dodge features Torque Reserve -- which could deliver higher levels of output and torque at launch -- After-Run Cooler, SRT Power Chiller liquid-to-air intercooler chiller system and Air-Grabber induction system with 45.2-inch functional hood scoop.

Customers could choose from 15 exterior colors for their 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. Available at launch are Billet Silver, Destroyer Grey, Go Mango, Granite Crystal, Maximum Steel, Octane Red, Pitch Black, Redline, TorRed, White Knuckle and Yellow Jacket. To be available later are B5 Blue, F8 Green, Indigo Blue and Plum Crazy.

Inside, the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon features a flat-bottom SRT Performance steering wheel -- wrapped in Alcantara -- with paddle shifters and a two-speaker audio system. The driver sits on premium cloth-covered driver seat, with the standard cloth seat including Ballistic II inserts with silver embroidered Demon head logo. Dark Brushed II interior accents are also standard. The cabin also features a serialized dash plaque.

Nonetheless, customers could further personalize their 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon with an array of options -- the most enticing of them is the so-called Demon Crate. Interestingly, this personalized and serialized Demon Crate and unleashes the full potential of its Demon V8 engine to 840 hp of max output and 770 lb.-ft. of peak torque.

This crate includes Direct Connection Performance Parts, Demon-branded track tools and Foam case that fits into the Challenger SRT Demon trunk. All of these inclusions are valued at $6,140, but is only available for just $1 for Challenger SRT Demon customers. Other options available at $1 are cloth rear seat, leather rear seat, front passenger cloth seat and Demon trunk carpet kit. Further options include red seat belts ($195); Leather Front Seat Group ($1,595); Comfort Audio Group and Cloth Seats ($995); painted Black Satin Hood ($1,995); Comfort Group and Leather Seats ($2,495); Painted Black Satin Graphics Package ($3,495) and Power sunroof ($4,995).

Dodge will commence production of the limited edition 2018 Challenger SRT Demon -- 3,000 units for the US and 300 vehicles for Canada -- this summer at the Brampton Assembly plant in Ontario, with built units set to arrive at dealerships this fall.
