Nissan starts taking orders for 2018 Pulsar Black Edition in Europe

Article by Christian A., on September 3, 2017

Japanese carmaker Nissan is now selling across Europe a new special version of its Nissan Pulsar compact family hatchback. More stylish, more elegant and more comfortable than the standard Pulsar, the new 2018 Nissan Pulsar Black Edition intends to remind everyone that the compact hatchback hasn’t given up in its goal to be recognized in its segment.

When Nissan introduced the Pulsar family hatchback three years ago in 2014, the Japanese carmaker had hoped this new challenger would take a good chunk of the compact hatch market. Although the Pulsar was an exciting proposition and did manage to capture some sales in Europe, it really never managed to present a good challenge against more established hatches in the C-segment like the Volkswagen Golf, Skoda Octavia, Seat Leon or the Ford Focus.

But still, Nissan is not giving up on its ambitions in the continent, and the evidence of this is the introduction of the new Nissan Pulsar Black Edition. As its moniker indicates, the new 2018 Nissan Pulsar Black Edition contains a number of black design accents, allowing it to become more stylish inside and out. The design of the new Nissan Pulsar Black Edition greatly reinforces its known attributes such as spaciousness and high level of safety. Nissan is hoping that the new Pulsar Black Edition would convince potential customers that the Pulsar is still a good proposition and there is a great reason to purchase it.

In creating the new Nissan Pulsar Black Edition, the Japanese carmaker picked the mid-range N-Connecta grade to serve as basis of the special model. This grade has allowed Nissan to transform a typical Pulsar into a special version laden with a number of contemporary design and styling improvements.

Underscoring the moniker of the new Nissan Pulsar Black Edition is the fact that it contains a number of black accents. For instance, the exterior of the new Nissan Pulsar Black Edition features premium new black bezel headlights with light emitting diode signature. It also features black door mirrors. In addition, the new Nissan Pulsar Black Edition rides on stunning 18-inch black diamond cut alloy wheels.

Still offering class-leading rear passenger legroom, the new Nissan Pulsar Black Edition now offers premium part-leather seats as well as rear privacy glass. Moreover, Nissan has equipped the new Pulsar Black Edition with the NissanConnect five-inch touch-screen infotainment system that comes with Bluetooth connectivity with audio streaming as well as DAB digital radio and aux/USB ports.

Customers could choose from any of the two available engines known for their performance, refinement and efficiency. These engines are the 1.2 DIG-T petro mill that delivers up to 115 PS and the 1.5 dCi diesel unit that develops up to 110 PS.

Spacious and stylish: Nissan reveals new Pulsar Black Edition

Compact family hatchback customers seeking space and safety have always appreciated the Nissan Pulsar. And now there are even more reasons to choose it, in the shape of the stylish new Nissan Pulsar Black Edition.

Based on mid-range N-Connecta grade, the Pulsar Black Edition offers contemporary design and styling enhancements.

Exterior upgrades include premium new black bezel headlights with LED signature, black door mirrors and 18-inch black diamond cut alloy wheels.

Enhancements have also been made to the airy and spacious interior, which remains best-in-class for rear passenger legroom. They include premium part-leather seats and rear privacy glass, delivering new levels of comfort for those on-board.

The Pulsar Black Edition is also equipped with the NissanConnect five-inch touch-screen infotainment system. Its features include Bluetooth connectivity with audio streaming, DAB digital radio and aux / USB ports.

On sale now across Europe, the Pulsar Black Edition is available with two of Nissan’s most popular engines – the 1.2 DIG-T 115PS petrol and the 1.5 dCi 110PS diesel. Both offer exceptional performance, economy and refinement.

Ryan Gains, Chief Marketing Manager, Pulsar, Nissan Europe, commented: “The Nissan Pulsar remains a hit across Europe, with customers awarding it an impressive 9.1 out of 10 with independent feedback organisation Reevoo.”

He added: “Building on this success, the new Pulsar Black Edition will satisfy customers seeking a more contemporary and stylish five-door hatchback.”
