It is called Tank but it is tamed enough to be legally driven on the streets. Here comes the new Rezvani Tank, an extreme utility vehicle (XUV) from the California-based maker of the Beast and Beast Alpha. Rezvani is calling the Tank as the most hardcore, most capable vehicle the California-based automaker has ever built.

According to the carmaker, the new Rezvani Tank XUV takes inspiration from the military vehicle of the same name. The name itself conveys the fact that it features a number of similar attributes as that of a tank, which is easily considered as one of the most recognizable vehicles in any military group.

The new Rezvani Tank is designed by Samir Sadikhov to be extreme yet good enough for civilian use. Its body-on-frame design is marked by a chiseled fascia as well as an aggressive grille flanked by sleek, defined headlights similar to those of the Beast and Beast Alpha sports cars. It features two LED fog lights as well as a roof-mounted LED light bar for great level of illumination whether on or off the road.

Inside, the new Tank offers high levels of comfort for its occupants despite its rugged exterior appearance, thanks to a hand-stitched Leather Package that includes leather seats and a suede headliner. The new Rezvani Tank comes with a 7.9-inch central infotainment screen, a suite of apps optimized for on- and off-road use, as well as a Head-Up Display (HUD).

Bearing a starting price of $178,500, the new Rezvani Tank is powered by a dynamic 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine that could deliver 500 hp of max output and 430 lb.-ft. of peak torque, as complemented by the standard on-demand four-wheel-drive system. For customers who want to squeeze more off-road capabilities from the Tank, optional packages are available. For instance, the optional Off-Road Package includes a six-inch lift, with 37 x 12.5-inch off-road tires hugging the wheels of the Tank. The mid-range Off-Road Package also includes a Dynatrac ProRock 44/60 axle set with E-lockers as well as Fox 2.5-inch Remote Reservoir Shocks.

A more extensive Off-Road Extreme Package could also be availed, and it includes a six-inch lift, 37 x 13.5-inch tires as well as Dynatrac ProRock XD60/80 axle set with air lockers and an air compressor. Also included are front 1350 and rear 1410 drive shafts, Fox 2.5-inch Internal Bypass Shocks with DSC as well as Dynatrac ProGrip front and rear brakes.

Of course, the new Rezvani Tank could be laden with a number of optional features that make it similarly capable as a tank. For instance, the Tank could be fitted with FLIR Thermal Night Vision and a Ballistic Armor, which includes bulletproof glass, Kevlar armor, Kevlar-protected fuel tank, floorpan and radiator as well as military-grade run flat tires. Leather (leather seats, suede headliner), Tow (tow hitch, front-mounted winch), and Convenience packages (Automatic Opening/Closing Side Steps, Head-Up Display) are also available.

Rezvani has started taking orders for the tank, and will commence deliveries later this year.
