Rezvani introduces V6 version of its Tank extreme utility vehicle

Article by Christian A., on November 6, 2017

For potential customers wanting to purchase the new Rezvani Tank but think that its 500-hp 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine is just too much, the carmaker is offering a lower-powered option. Now, customers could opt to have the Rezvani Tank powered by a V6 mill.

Rezvani has recently presented the second variant of the Rezvani Tank, the new Rezvani Tank V6. Its 3.6-liter V6 engine is able to deliver up to 285 hp of output and up to 260 lb.-ft. of torque. This mill is able achieve a fuel economy rating estimated at 25 miles per gallon.

Aside from the engine, there are no vital differences between the Rezvani Tank V8 and the Rezvani Tank V6. The V6-powered Rezvani Tank still features the same distinct elements, like its rugged design, off-road-tuned suspension system and on-demand 4x4 system.

Ferris Rezvani, chief executive of the carmaker, remarked that the addition of the V6 engine allows the Tank to become the ultimate road-going and off-road extreme utility vehicle, adding that the two mills provide the best of both worlds.

The V6-powered Rezvani will have a starting of $146,000, while the V8-powered model will have a base price of $178,000. The prices of these Tank models will go higher as potential customers click on more options. In fact, getting all the options will drive up the price to $305,075. But for this amount, you get a serious off-roader with full ballistic protection, leather interior package, Alpine stereo that can support Apple CarPlay, FLIR Thermal Night Vision System, and a weather-proof car cover.

Rezvani has already commenced taking orders for the Tank, and will start deliveries later this year.

The new Rezvani Tank was inspired by the military vehicle of the same name. The moniker of the extreme utility vehicle communicates the fact that it has a number of similar attributes as that of a tank. The new Rezvani Tank was penned by Samir Sadikhov to be an extreme vehicle that is good enough for civilian use. Its body-on-frame design is defined by its chiseled fascia, an aggressive grille and defined headlights similar to those of the Rezvani Beast and Beast Alpha sports cars. The new Rezvani Tank comes with two LED fog lights and a roof-mounted LED light bar.

Despite its rugged exterior looks, the new Rezvani Tank is highly comfortable inside, thanks to its hand-stitched Leather Package that includes leather seats and a suede headliner. Also fitted in new Rezvani Tank are a 7.9-inch central infotainment screen, a Head-Up Display (HUD) and a suite of apps optimized for on- and off-road use.

Also optional are a number of elements that makes the vehicle have some of the capabilities of a tank. These include a Ballistic Armor that includes bulletproof glass, Kevlar armor, Kevlar-protected fuel tank, floorpan, radiator and military-grade run flat tires.
