Rolls-Royce lets you customize your uber-luxurious 2018 Phantom with an online configurator

Article by Christian A., on August 8, 2017

The 2018 Rolls-Royce Phantom was developed by the company for customers who want to have an ultra-luxurious, and ultra-unique car that perfectly matches their personality. With that being said, they have just launched an online configuration especially made for the Phantom.

This site lets customers design their Rolls-Royce exactly how they want it, making it truly their own personal 2018 Phantom. The company always says that you don’t purchase a Rolls Royce, but you commission one instead. Just like a tailor-made suit with your specific measurements, you can now get a car that suits your taste. That way, there won’t be any detail about the car that you won’t like.

The eight-generation Phantom will be riding on an all-aluminum platform, the same as the Cullinan SUV. It will be equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission that is paired with the all-new twin-turbo 6.75 liter V12 with 563 horsepower and 663 pound-feet (900 Nm) of torque. This Phantom is actually ten percent quieter than the previous model when it starts to accelerate.

Making the Phantom more silent has been the company’s goal, and they made sure they would do it. What they did was the engineers installed over 130 kilograms (286 pounds) of insulation to minimize the noise. Additionally, they added two layers of 6mm thick glass all over the car. Sound insulation goes all the way to the tires as they come with a layer of soundproofing foam inside to reduce tire noise.

As for the suspension, it had been updated so that the car automatically adjusts its height for the most comfortable ride.

Looking at it from the outside, the Rolls-Royce Phantom does look like it is the “Best Car in the World”. You can easily tell from its shape and design that it is a Rolls Royce, but the eight-generation model now comes with a new front grille that has been seamlessly integrated into the body. The new headlights seem to have a laser light technology giving you the best visibility at night. It is not just about the looks for the Phantom, but also the functionality.

In the cabin, you will only find the best of the best elements. All the details from the dashboard to the seats are made of top class materials. Of course, it comes with the most updated onboard entertainment system too. The company can even offer several seat arrangements to suit your needs - whether you want a lounge, an office or a club, they can give it to you.

You can check out the new configurator at Rolls-Royce’s official website to see all the options that they have in store for you.
