Still the quickest, fastest and most powerful sedan in the world as powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V-8 engine providing 707 hp of max output and 650 lb.-ft. of peak torque, the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is entering the 2019 model year with a number of upgrades both in terms of aesthetics and performance. Now, Dodge//SRT is offering to make your Charger SRT Hellcat look more aggressive on the road with three new stripe options.
The exterior stripe design for the new Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat includes two stripes located on the center and running the full-length of the sedan. This stripe design covers the front and rear fascias of Charger SRT Hellcat as well as its roof and deck lid. The stripe design also is matched to the design of the signature NACA duct-hood vent, further highlighting its already aggressive yet still functional design.
The three new strop options available for the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat include Dual Red, Dual Blue and Duel Silver. These new stripes join the current designs that include the Dual Carbon and Dual Gunmetal Gray stripes, which were introduced in 2016 and 2018.
Dodge is also allowing owners of Charger R/T Scat Pack and R/T models to avail of the dual carbon stripes for their muscle cars.
Steve Beahm, Head of Passenger Cars, Dodge//SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, and Service and Parts (Mopar), FCA North America, remarked that the three new stripe options provide Charger customers an opportunity to make their four-door muscle cars more distinct straight from the factory.
Mark Trostle,Head of Performance, Passenger and Utility Vehicle Exterior Design, FCA US LLC, quipped that exterior stripes help amplify the shape of the hood while highlighting the massiveness of its air-intake – thereby truly accentuating the shape of the Charger. He added that the available of 13 exterior colors and five different stripe colors, customers can make their Charger SRT Hellcat more unique.
All available stripe colors can be ordered from a local dealer at a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $995.
The 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat boasts of a new performance grille with dual inlets as well as four race-inspired technologies fitted as standard. These include the After-Run Chiller that keeps the supercharger/charge air cooler cooled even after the engine has been shut off; Launch Assist that employs wheel speed sensors to monitor driveline-damaging wheel hop at launch; Line Lock that engages the front brakes to hold the Charger SRT Hellcat in place; and Torque Reserve that can generate a reserve of torque deliverable once the car accelerates from a standing stop.
