Ford is giving potential Fiesta customers more reasons to purchase its world-renowned subcompact. Two of these are the introductions of new sporty model based from the ST-Line trim of the Ford Fiesta. New customers can now indulge with the new Ford Fiesta ST-Line Red Edition and the Fiesta ST-Line Black Edition. Ford is now selling the Ford Fiesta ST-Line Red Edition and Fiesta ST-Line Black Edition models in selected markets in Europe.
According to the carmaker, the ST-Line trim accounts for around 20 percent of total Fiesta sales this year. Perhaps the satisfying demand for the ST-Line – which endows the Fiesta a sportier and more dynamic appearance – has led Ford to create two new special editions based on this trim. These new editions – the new Ford Fiesta ST-Line Red Edition and the Fiesta ST-Line Black Edition feature distinctive exterior and interior elements that make them stand out from the rest.
Making full use of Ford Performance-inspired styling, these new Ford Fiesta ST-Line edition models are available in three- and five-door body styles. Both the new Ford Fiesta ST-Line Red Edition and the Fiesta ST-Line Black Edition are served by Ford’s 1.0-liter EcoBoost petrol engine that deliver 140 PS of max output, as complemented by sports suspension. This engine is mated to a low-friction six-speed manual gearbox.
As it name indicates, the new Ford Fiesta ST-Line Red Edition comes wrapped in a Race Red exterior with matte black stripes edged in high-gloss black. The stripes extend from the roof, through the bonnet then to the lower front spoiler lip. On the other hand, the Fiesta ST-Line Black Edition is finished a Panther Black exterior paint, as matched by matte black stripes with high-gloss red edges.
Both the new Ford Fiesta ST-Line Red Edition and the Fiesta ST-Line Black Edition are marked on the rear by a massive body-colored spoiler. They both don black mirror caps that are bisected by a horizontal red stripe. In addition, the both Fiesta ST-Line editions ride on distinctive Panther Black 17-inch alloy wheels with red rims.
The exterior theme of these Ford Fiesta ST-Line editions continues inside. Red accents are found on the partial leather sports seats, central air-vent register surround, passenger-side deco-spear as well as door pulls. The flat-bottomed leather steering wheel, gear lever gaiter, handbrake lever and gaiter also feature red-stitching, which is also found on the floor mats and door interiors.
Cabin techs include the available SYNC 3 connectivity and entertainment system with an 8-inch color touchscreen, an available 675-watt B&O Sound System with a 360-degree premium audio experience. Standard driving assistance systems include Lane-Keeping Aid, Speed Limiter and Hill Start Assist. Optional technologies include Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Information System as well as Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection and Traffic Sign Recognition.
As standard, both the new Ford Fiesta ST-Line Red Edition and the Fiesta ST-Line Black Edition are provided with halogen projector headlights with auto lighting, LED daytime running lights as well as LED rear lights.
