2019 Lamborghini Urus online configurator now available

Article by Christian A., on December 7, 2017

We are very much aware of the Lamborghini Urus’ powerful engine that produces an impressive 650 horsepower (484 kilowatts) and 627 pound feet (850 Newton metres) of torque. Thanks to its 4.0 liter biturbo V8, it can do the 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) sprint in as little as 3.59 seconds, before continuing to its maximum speed of 186 miles per hour (300 kilometers per hour).

Here’s the thing, with the massive six-digit price tag the SUV comes with, not a lot of people can afford to get their hands on one. And that is why Lamborghini came up with this solution. Nope, they are not lowering the price of the Urus, but instead, they have opened up the online configurator to the mass market, so everyone could have a chance to build the perfect Urus for themselves in the virtual world, without having to shell out a single dollar. The only difference is that they won’t be able to drive their creation.

The configurator will let customers choose from a total of 13 colour options including standard and metallic finishes - from Nero Noctis, Giallo Auge, to Grigio Nimbus and Bianco Icarus.

Three types of wheels are available here, two of which are 21 inches big, while the other is slightly larger at 22 inches. These can be customised in the colour that you want - silver, titanium, or black. As for the brake calipers, it is available in six colour options.

Exterior options can be added too, including a panoramic glass roof, privacy glass and roof rails. You could also get an extra styling package to give the car a matte, satin chrome, or bright chrome finish instead of the standard gloss.

To match the exterior, you could also customise the cabin with choices like unicolour leather or a two-tone Sportivo leather in a range of colour options.

Besides all that, you also have options for the steering wheel, which can be had in either black or coloured suede. The seats can be had with full electric controls like the ventilation and massage, and 2+2 instead of a rear bench. Carbon fiber and wood trim are also available throughout the interior, paired with an ambient lighting package. Safety features as well as technology upgrades can also be added to the Urus.

Since this is just a configuration, the automaker does not list the price of all the options. But if you choose to just get the standard model, it should come with a price tag of $200,000.

The configurator may not be as exciting as the real thing, but it is the closest we could get to it.
