Whenever Mercedes-Benz officially unveils a new generation vehicle, it also creates a special edition model dedicated to the launch of the all-new model. Typically called as the Edition 1, this model is essentially a more lavish version of the newly launched next-gen model. Now, after unveiling the new generation of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan, the carmaker is introducing the 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan Edition 1.

As a launch edition model, The 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan Edition 1 is differentiated from its ordinary counterpart with a number of visual tweaks. In addition, compared to the ordinary 2019 A-Class Sedan, the Edition 1 will have more equipment included as standard. The A-Class Sedan Edition 1 Edition 1 is essentially derived from the AMG Line version. It features “Edition” badging on the front fenders to communicate to the world that it is not your typical A-Class Sedan.

Visual tweaks implemented on the exterior of the new 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan Edition 1 include a number of copper accents. These copper accents include the pins on its “diamond” front grille as well as on its elegant 19-inch alloy wheels.

This copper theme is also implemented inside the cabin of the 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan Edition 1, including the copper stitching on the seats, the central armrest and top of the dashboard. Copper seams are also seen on the door panels. In addition, the velour floor mats features copper piping. The passenger side dashboard also has an “Edition” graphic with copper-like look.

Aside from these visual tweaks, the all-new 2019 Mercedes A-Class Sedan Edition 1 is provided with more standard equipment that an ordinary A-Class Sedan. These include LED High Performance headlights, multifunction leather-wrapped steering wheel and 64-color LED ambient lighting. It also features sports seats with adjustable head restraints.

There is nothing said about any tweaks in power, which means the 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan Edition 1 would still be available with the same engines offered for the ordinary version.

Just like other Edition 1 models, the new 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan Edition 1 will be available for one year after market launch of the A-Class Sedan. The German premium carmaker is planning to launch the new A-Class Sedan in early 2019, although interested customers can now order the new generation model as well as its Edition 1 version.

In Germany, the all-new 2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan Edition 1 commands a €7,021 premium over its ordinary counterpart. The most accessible model of the A-Class is the A 200 with a six-speed manual transmission. It comes with an MSRP (including 19-percent VAT) in Germany of €30,916.20.
