Alfa Romeo MiTo and Giulietta get their warranty extended to five years

Article by Christian A., on July 10, 2012

Alfa Romeo wants to give its retail customers further peace of mind and so it has extended its present three-year warranty by two more years through the MiTo and Giulietta product ranges. This report coincides with the launch of the Alfa MiTo TwinAir, which features the highly awarded 875cc twin-cylinder turbo engine with variable intake valve technology and sub-100g/km CO2 emissions.

The new extended warranty is composed of 36 months’ unlimited mileage warranty. It offers an extra 24 months’ mechanical warranty on all Alfa MiTo and Giulietta retail purchases. The added cover shields the model against manufacturer defects and component defects.

According to Damien Dally, Head of Brand, Alfa Romeo UK, the company’s strategy is to attract new customers, a formidable challenge considering that consumers are currently more cautious about taking risks and would rather stay away from new models.

He added that the Alfa Romeo brand has consistently had a “strong emotional pull” but he also has total confidence in its capabilities and believes that retail car buyers get “complete peace of mind” from the new extended five year warranty (which becomes available to retail customers starting on September 30). If you would want to take this vehicle out for a test drive, just go to or call 0844 870 0147 for further details.

With an excellent mix of stylishness and athleticism, the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta is expected to redefine what the brand is all about as it relates to emotional qualities and technological benchmarks. To start off, the new model has a dynamic and compact shape with overall length of 4.35 meters, width of 1.80 meters and height at 1.46 meters. Wheelbase meanwhile measures at 2.63 meters.

Even with these figures, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta assures customers comfort and even a boot that has a large amount of space at 350 liters. On the front section, the classic shield is still there but comes in a reinterpreted version. Further the shield, while fixed to the bumper in this region, has also been suspended in the middle of the air vents. This is important as this is where the entire design of the vehicle begins, which in summary reveals a uniquely elegant shape combined with a lively personality. The headlights in the front have the daytime running lights that use LED technology.

They even have a daylight function to ensure that active safety is maximized. Like the front, the rear section also has a unique style and this time highlights it being a muscular car and how it gets a strong grip on the road. The rear lights utilize LED technology as well as this helps add to the style while ensuring preventive safety. That said, the profile shouldn’t be taken for granted as well as it is overflowing with personality in order to give it a sense of sturdiness and agility.

The main reason is on the side windows which bring to mind the coupe. By managing to hide the rear door handles, the fluidity of its shape and the dynamism of the profile are highlighted. There are also ribs that can be seen on the profile which appears to give the vehicle a more elongated appearance. Meanwhile, the use of the clean lines, which stop at the rear end, helps put focus into the fact the body has an angular shape.
