The all-new 2015 Cadillac Escalade made its debut last night in New York and as expected it revealed an updated interior but kept its imposing stance. The 2015 Escalade will be built in Arlington, Texas and it is expected to hit the dealerships by April 2014. As a result, the 2014 Escalade will have a short model year.
Regarding the new design, the 2015 Escalade comes with vertical headlights fitted with four vertically stacked crystal lenses and LEDs. The taillights are tall and feature the same LED technology.
As we said, the interior was updated and is now roomier and plusher, features real wood and suede accents. The front seat now offers 1.5 inches of headroom and 4 inches of legroom comparing it with the outgoing model. The Cadillac CUE infotainment system is now offered as standard. Thanks to a stronger body structure, the 2015 Escalade promises to be dramatically quieter.
Still, the Escalade is helped by the triple-sealed doors as well as by the Bose active noise-cancellation system. We also find a third row of seating that are also heated and recline. As an option, Cadillac offers a 9-inch screen, while ESV models get two screens. Other options include adaptive cruise control, Safety Alert Seat which vibrates to indicate a threat, or front and rear automatic braking to avoid low-speed collisions.
