Aston Martin launches its premium ‘Experience’ App, featuring advanced telemetry technology and exclusive content, following the success of the free ‘Explore’ App that was launched in December last year.
The ‘Experience’ shares the same philosophy with which the company designs its avant-garde race and road cars. The technology incorporated in the latest App was designed to satisfy the standards of quality, engineering and luxury similar to the iconic British marque, including guides to the 40 most exciting cities in the world developed in concurrence with ‘A Hedonist’s Guides’.
The new App also boosts of the latest and never-seen-before mobile technology, along with the high definition video and images as well as retina display of the iPhone 4.
In addition, the App will allow the users to record forces acting on and around the vehicle with the built-in motion sensors that enable telemetry functions. Such feature also allows forward and lateral stability during a drive. The ‘Experience’ will also allow users to see some of the best driving circuits and roads from around the world through ‘Top Road’.
Combined with GPS technology hardware built in the phone, users can register into locations and post their experiences online. Moreover, it has also a camera that will allow passengers to film their driving experience while an on screen speedometer, augmenting into the view, measures the speed of the trip.
The speedometer has a Launch mode that allows users to see the meter race upwards and hear the sounds of the users’ selected Aston Martin. When moving, users can measure the speed through the GPS with a realistic replica of the Aston Martin in car dial showing speeds in km/h and mph. A digital version appears when the phone is turned horizontally.
Customers can download the Aston Martin Experience app from iTunes at just £3.49 ($5.99). To ensure that all functions on the free and premium apps remains ahead, regular updates will be implemented. The Aston Martin Experience app offers push notification to enable users to view all the latest Aston Martin news as well as exclusive content.
