Audi has revealed that it will launch this week its ‘Audi at home’ car sharing initiative. The program is aimed at giving residents of different selected properties a way to experience the brand’s offering. While the initiative will start at Miami and San Francisco, the company expects that it will soon be available to other major cities across the U.S.
In San Francisco, the company will be partnering with Tishman Speyer’s LUMINA. Though this is still under construction, this condominium project with be the first West Coast residential community to offer such services. Down on the East Coast, the company will be linking up with Miami’s Four Season Residences.
Under the program, the residents of these properties will be given a chance to get complete access to the brand’s different premium cars. The cars will be made available at their residences all set to drive. Though some of the residents may already have their own cars, by being part of the company’s initiative they will be able to experience what it means to drive different types of cars.
Audi disclosed that it will be making these models available for the program: Q7, RS5 Cabriolet, S5 Cabriolet, S7, SQ5, and the TT. Mark Del Rosso, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Audi of America, said that at its core, the Audi at home program is all about customization, personalization, and freedom.
Del Rosso adds that this will give the residents a different kind of experience as they will get to drive a car that will match their daily needs. Whether they need an additional car for guests or a quick vacation, the program is there to help, Del Rosso concludes. For those who want to participate, the process of the Audi at home project is relatively simple.
All that residents need to do is go to their concierge to register. Once that is done, the next step is to log-in on the mobile website in order to reserve the model of their choice. Once the residents have finished using it, they just return the car to the valet. The brand has made sure that all of the models that it will be offering for this program will have the Prestige trim and to ensure convenience, it will also come equipped with its very own 24/7 live customer care.
Residents will be given the chance to choose between paying the rates at an hourly rate or a daily one. The company shares that the rate will include different services like cleaning the car, insurance, local tolls, fuel, and even unlimited mileage. To make sure that the residents have the choice to select a fresh fleet, Audi intends to rotate its onsite vehicles on a regular basis. The Audi at home is not the company’s first mobility program.
The first one was called ‘Audi on demand’ which was launched just last April in San Francisco. Under this particular program, the company gave customers within San Francisco the chance to drive different models from its lineup ranging from its Audi A4 sedan and up to even its Audi R8 supercar model.
All that was needed to do was for customers to download the Audi on demand app on their iPhones. They can then use the app to choose what model they want and the on demand concierge will then deliver it personally to the location chosen.
